    Dealer Review:

After buying a 2007 Lexus 460 I wrote numerous 5 star reviews for Hall Acura describing how well we were treated, how helpful and courteous the staff was making the entire experience the best we ever had.....then two days later after the sale was complete everything changed and quickly unraveled...... READ THIS STORY IT MAY HELP YOU IN YOUR DECISONS I had asked at least three times if the car had ever been repaired or repainted ... I was told emphatically absolutely not it has a clean CarFax. But I discovered it was repaired and repainted. I took the car to two auto body shops including our local Lexus dealer. Both confirmed exactly the same findings. It had been repaired and repainted. Doesn't seem like that big of deal if the car is mechanically sound right? Wrong, the problem is the Kelly Blue Book says the value of the car if never repaired and repainted is about what I paid for the car. But the exact same car repaired and repainted is valued at $4500 less!!! WOW. I would have never bought the car if I was told it had been repainted. Why? Because for me it's the fear of the unknown, how bad was it? What affect would it have on car down the road? Etc etc. plus when repainting a car it is never as good as the factory paint job many times over time producing differences in coloration. Bottom line is I now have a car I would never had purchased because I was told it was never repainted when as I discovered it had. Paying top dollar for a car worth $4500 less because it was suppose to be clean. So the issue becomes did Hall Acura lie and misrepresent the car in order to sell it for more money hoping no one would notice? To be honest it really doesn't matter to me. I accept the fact a mistake could have been made and somehow this car slipped through the inspection process and they put it on the lot believing themselves it was clean....that's possible. What I have a problem with is when presenting this problem to the managers of Hall Acura instead of them simply saying "we are so sorry we don't know how this could have happened but it has, let's work together and see how we can resolve this with everyone being happy and satisfied". No that was not at all their response, they have denied, rejected, would not even consider this as possible. They made me get it in writing from the Lexus dealer which cost me another $55. Once proven I've been shuffled from manager to manager. Till ending with George Ransom the regional manager. He instructed the previous manger George Cuellar to tell me he would not speak to me about this issue but only to my wife because it was her name on the car. My wife and I did it that way for tax purposes and other reasons. I negotiated and got everything ready paperwork wise so all she had to do was come in and sign the documents. Married for 38 years to be asked to produce a notarized statement giving me the right to speak and represent her was needed they said, in order to comply with information sharing laws! What? Your kidding I said. Nope he wouldn't talk to me. I said I would check with my attorney who basically said all compliance to information sharing laws were satisfied when both my wife and I were their together signing the documents with all the information in front of us the laws are protecting. He said the laws are there to protect consumer not Hall Acura. We were as a married couple working together to purchase this car regardless if my wife's name is the only one on paperwork. Compliance by implication, that is implied consent when we were together in the signing room this creates an umbrella for the future as well of implied consent.. Nevertheless when I tried to call and email both managers to share what lawyer said they have not responded or answered. The won't even communicate at all now. My wife and I decided to write a notarized power of attorney and give them what they asked for just so we can stay focused on the real issue....my car! But again even though I emailed and left messages letting them know I've got what they asked for I've heard nothing from either manager. I honestly can't believe how Hall Acura is handling this. Not only treating me like a trouble maker, but making me feel like I'm the enemy, totally opposite from when I was there buying. Makes me feel like as far as purchasing a car they will make sure you have a great experience but if you have a problem and take it to them you are on your own.....I've been ignored, rejected, delayed, and now cut off from communication. Can Hall Acura be trusted? You be the judge!

Purchased a used car here and this was the 3rd time I was buying a used car. I've been to plenty of dealerships to say that this was my best experience ever. Robert Pena and Leanne were the people you should ask for. No gimmicks or up sale tactics and very jovial, honest people. I hope to purchase more cars from them in the future.

    Dealer Review:

Just moved to area and purchased an RDX from Hall Acura in Newport News. Great experience throughout the process, as we have come to know as this is our 3rd Acura. Steve Smock was our sales consultant and did a great job explaining features, benefits, and differences between models. Both Managers also introduced themselves, as did the Service team, which was nice. Chris, the Finance Managrr, also did a great job. I highly recommend this dealership.

Hyman Brothers Mazda, Newport News, Va 10NOV2017 2011 Toyota Tundra • Stock # : 169229B • VIN : 5TFHW5F16BX181579 To Whom It May Concern; My wife and I visited your Newport News location on Friday, November 10, 2017 to see the above listed vehicle. Mike Saab helped us out and took us on a test drive. We liked the vehicle and enjoyed our interaction with Mike. He was very pleasant and answered all of our questions as well as he was able. When we got back, he took all of our information and started to process everything so we could purchase the vehicle. Sung-Ho Lee came out a few times to talk to us as he was processing the financial part of the transaction and he had some other questions for us. Time was running a little late and we offered to come back another day to complete the paperwork if he needed more time. At 7:30 PM, Sung-Ho asked us to make a $1000 down payment since the cashier was going to be closing at 8. My wife started to go over to make the payment but then stated that we had no idea what the terms of the loan were and that we did not even know if he was able to get the loan. So she sat back down and we continued to wait. As it was taking a while for Sung-Ho to get ready for us, my wife decided to make a call to our insurance company to see how much it was going to run us to add the truck and remove our trade in. While she was talking to them, Sung-Ho came out to get us and told Mike that he was ready for us. When he noticed that Susan was on the phone he went ballistic on Mike and yelled at him. “I told you to keep them off the [non-permissible content removed] phone!” “You do this every [non-permissible content removed] time!” “Get them in here!” Mike came out and very politely asked if they (insurance company) could call us back. He was definitely embarrassed and ashamed that we had heard such an interaction. My wife cut the call short telling them that she would call back later. As she stood up she looked at me with disbelief and asked, ”Did I just hear that?” I said yes and that I would just like to leave. I handed her my key to our car and told her to wait outside. She told Mike that we would not do business with a man who treated another person the way that Sung-Ho was treating Mike. I told Mike to get me the other key to our car and I sent my wife out to our car to wait for me. Mike apologized and was trying to smooth this over but I was having none of it. I told him to get me my key and he was not argumentative about it at all. I really appreciate that he did not try to pressure us into staying. He is a credit to your company for his ability to keep his cool and recognize when the situation cannot be turned around. When Mike brought my key out he apologized and shook my hand. I told him that if we ever returned it would only be if we were able to close the deal without Sung-Ho Lee. Sung-Ho Lee is a disgrace to your company and should never be allowed to be in charge of anyone. He insulted Mike by implying that he failed to keep us off the phone. Mr. Lee needs to understand that I pay this phone bill and he has no right to tell anyone to keep me or my wife off of our phones. Especially when the information we were trying to get directly effects the long-term cost of owning the vehicle we were trying to buy from your dealership. Mr. Lee was out of line for that. His conduct towards Mike is reprehensible. Cursing at an employee should never be acceptable. The manner in which he did, made my wife and I feel as though we were threatened. We offered multiple times to come back later. There was no pressure from us for him to stay late or rush the financing. But he still made us feel as though we were inconveniencing him. On Saturday, November 11, 2017, Mike Saab called us back. He spoke to the manager, Josh. Josh had offered to complete the paperwork for us so that we would not have to deal with Mr. Lee. After mulling over the details of the financing offered we decided that it was not in our best interest at the current time to pursue this purchase. Mike has been wonderful, and I appreciate the offer of assistance that Josh has extended. However, I would not wish for anyone to have to deal with Sung-Ho Lee if our experience with him is typical.

Priority Toyota Hampton - Hampton / Virginia

Located 22 miles away from Virginia Beach, VA

    Dealer Review:

This dealership is a premier example of a bait and switch sales tactic...i've been here twice trying to purchase vehicles that I viewed on the Internet, and once I got there I found a price to be thousands of dollars higher than what was advertised. Most recently, I went into look at a 2017 4Runner SR5. The price on the Internet was listed at $37,494, and when I went in they had it nearly $6000 higher and would not honor their Internet price. The salesman (Alex Wall) was not prepared to answer questions, and when I asked why they would not honor their Internet price, they offered me a different vehicle with lesser options at the same price. The sales manager Wall (Alex's daddy) asked me point blank if I was prepared to buy the vehicle if they honor their price...I replied yes. This was the last time I spoke to him as he would not come out of his office or work with me on the deal, instead he sent his inexperience son out to offer me the "switch" vehicle. I was so taken back by the sales experience that I made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and a formal complaint with Toyota corporate. If you've experienced the same thing at this dealership, I suggest you call Toyota [contact information removed] to speak to a resolution complaints specialist. This will not get you the vehicle at the price it was advertised, but maybe [non-permissible content removed] will be held accountable for their lack of truth in advertising. Note, I gave them one star because zero stars is not an option. I will never do business at priority Toyota or any of its affiliates.

Definitely a Driver's Car
drivingLover,08/07/2016
Update after a year & half- No major issues, still love the new CX9. Great acceleration thanks to turbo engine. The best mpg I've got was 30.6. I bought CX-9 a week ago and more than satisfied with it. Searched every model in 7 passenger category including minivan and came down to new Pilot, Sorrento, Q7, X5 and CX-9. As multiple reviewers mention CX-9's third rows not big enough for adults but all of the crossover SUVs in the 7/8 passenger category have same issue. If you want adults in third row, go for minivan or full size SUVs. Also, reviewers mention that CX9 has least cargo capacity but hey how many times one drive with third row up and fully loaded cargo. I picked CX-9 among all cars that I was searched for because its Value for money. I was considering touring model with tech package priced around $40k but got sport trim with heated/powered front seats as it has all features that important to me around $33k (dealership gave me $1900 off MSRP which is remarkable for vehicle this NEW). Some important features I'd really liked are brisk acceleration, quietness, LED head/tail lights, three zone climate control and ride quality. There are plenty soft touch material in the cabin where you rest your hand. Headlights are automatic and detect low light situation via a sensor on the windshield and turned ON by itself. I've a 6 month old and she is more than happy while riding in the CX9. Fuel mileage I got at 25.4 in combine driving so far but one of the highway trip showed 29 in the trip computer. HD radio is good and if you adjust Bass/Treble, sound system works great as CX9 is too quite. Definitely a Drivers car and recommended over other 7 passenger CUVs. "
