My husband & I had a wonderful purchasing experience at this dealership with our sales person Jeanette Fernandez. She was warm, knowledgeable, extremely helpful and responsive in addressing all our questions & concerns. When the first car we purchase had all of sorts of warning lights come up 1 day after the purchase we notified Jeanette and she promptly arranged for us to bring in the car for diagnosis and arranged a loaner. The car turned out to have an issue which would require a soft wear update which wouldn't be available for at least 1 month. My husband & I refused to keep the car with this big defect in it and our decision was respected by both Jeanette & the manager of the dealership. They promptly found a new car for us and arranged for everything to be transferred to the new car and despite a slightly higher price on the new vehicle they graciously agreed to honor the price we originally paid. Our purchase experience with Jeanette and the staff at Lexus of Tampa Bay is the best one we have experienced at this dealership. We have purchased other cars there in the past but this experience was the best by far. My experience with Ferman BMW started off well, but it quickly transformed into a nightmare. On Tuesday morning, March 28, 2023, I messaged this dealership through their website regarding a used 2020 Jaguar F-PACE I wanted to test drive. A rep called me right away and said the car was available, so I set up an appointment for 4pm that day since I lived almost 2 hours away. I arrived at around 3:40pm, and the sales rep attempted to find the car. I was not offered a seat or anything to drink, which was surprising, but I also figured that the wait would not be long. Six minutes later, my phone rang, but I dismissed the call since I thought the sales rep would be back any moment with the keys. I stood around for 10+ minutes until the sales rep returned and explained that the car had a deposit on it, and the potential new owners were currently driving it. He took my information down in case the deal fell through, and I headed to my car disappointed. This is when the situation went south. When I was in the parking lot, I received a text from a different sales associate who explained that she had just tried to call me (it was the call I dismissed at 3:46pm) because she had just learned the same information that the other sales rep shared with me. I texted her back and politely asked her why I didn’t have first dibs since I had set up an appointment in the morning. She said the deposit came through on Saturday, and the internet department was not on-site to confirm if the car was still available. Essentially, a deposit had been placed on the car 3 days before I set up my appointment, and the person I spoke with that morning did not mention that to me at all. In fact, she told me the car was 100% available. I am a marketing leader with nearly 2 decades of experience, so I have a strong understanding of the tools and resources that allow departments to align on data like this—regardless of whether they are on-site or not. Ferman BMW’s annual revenue is estimated at $36M a year with 140 employees, so they should have the infrastructure and means to implement the software and headcount needed to accurately communicate interdepartmentally. This so-called “miscommunication” is highly unlikely. Instead, this “misunderstanding” is most likely a feeble attempt to lure me to the dealership in an effort to upsell me for a larger profit. I lost time and money driving 4 hours (round trip) to Ferman BMW, but you don’t have to make the same mistake. I ended up contacting Gettel Toyota of Lakewood about a different Jaguar F-PACE, and the first thing the sales rep did when I arrived was offer me a seat and a drink. A few minutes later, I test drove the Jaguar. Minutes after that, I bought it. If you’re looking for a used car, I recommend you find a dealership who doesn’t have this type of “miscommunication.”

I would not buy a wagon from [non-permissible content removed]. Purchased a 2017 Corvette with 14,000 mi on it for 48,000 plus dollars. During the process of making deal there was a $1, 586 charge for reconditioning the vehicle to be put on the lot our salesman Daniel brought that deal to us and I said that the car definitely did not need that kind of reconditioning to be sold. And I said that if that $1,586 was removed we had a deal. He took it to his manager who okayed the deal. After going through financing with Patrick Konrad who was unable to give us a copy of the deal because they were out of jump drives and said he would email it to me. After spending the whole next day texting emailing and calling to try to get a copy of the deal at 7:24 p.m. I finally received the deal and immediately got in touch with our salesman Daniel Lopez and informed him that the $1,586 charge was on the deal along with two other things that were supposed to be removed. After a week of trying to have this done and then knowing that it was not supposed to be on there they will not remove that money. These people are very unprofessional and do not stand behind their contracts. Beware beware beware.
