2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid
I don’t care what anyone says, if you know how to drive, this Kia can beat most cars on the road. The amount of instant torque with the AWD will snap your head back when pushed. Since it’s higher up than a sports car who may want to play with me, I can sometimes have a better view of traffic ahead to weave my way through slow movers. I use the paddle shifters on the highway to … decelerate when needed to avoid showing my brake lights—try that with other hybrids who all use a boring CVT transmission. My wife wanted it because it was cute & she wanted to save gas. I chose it for the beast I knew it would be. I read Edmunds review that its handling isn’t “sporty” enough. That’s because the driver doesn’t possess enough skill—it will perform with practice after you’ve spent enough time getting to know her. Out of my many years & many cars—this is one of my favorites.
