2019 Kia Optima
I never considered Far East cars as interesting for me but 1 year ago I was offered a totaled 2019 Kia Optima LX for $ 750. I took it with the intention to repair and make a reasonable profit. Dealer wanted $ 10,000 for half of the parts needed but i managed to fix it for $ 3,800 in parts and 110 hours. I decided to use the Optima as grocery getter and oh boy was I pleasantly surprised. … Comfortable ride, 31 mls per gallon in the city, lots of amenities and safety features, big trunk, seats my son (6.3 ft) comfortably in the back. I like the exterior design as well as the interior. I thought I would miss the remote start, but the air condition is so efficient, that even in Florida at 100 degrees after 30 seconds ice cold air is coming out of the vents. The Optima had 32,000 mls on the odometer when we got it and now at 43,000 mls in less than a year i am very pleased and decided to keep it for a while. The only “issue” is some road noise from the tires I believe I can get rid off when replacement is due. The noise is just noticeable but not loud a ought to be nuisance. Combined with a 5 year warranty I believe I am doing the right thing to be positively exited about having the Optima in our car fleet.
