My previous car was a 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid, which I loved. After almost 8 years and nearly 100,000 miles, I decided to trade it in while it was still worth something. I knew I wanted an EV, and was planning to get a Chevy Bolt, but got tired of waiting for the manufacturing pause to end. I did a little further research and decided to check out the Kia Niro EV in person. As soon as I … saw it on the lot, I knew it was my car. It's cute in a conventional way, it has an impressive amount of tech that I actually use, the seats are comfortable (my main complaint about the Fusion was that the front seats were terrible), and the size is just right. Though it is a little different to drive than a conventional car, it was easy to learn and not at all intimidating. Most impressively, I have always gotten well over the EPA range rating; I average over 300 miles per charge. This is a well-designed, good-looking, and user-friendly EV and I will never go back to an internal combustion engine.
