1992 Isuzu Rodeo
These are the first generation Rodeos and they are the toughest models. What you get is a simple, bare-bones SUV that suites your 4x4 needs. For 1991-1992 opt for the 3.1 V6 engine and a manual tranny mated to the 4X4. The engine is a GM built 60 degree V6 with throttle body fuel injection making 120 horses. Doesn’t sound like much but it is surprisingly powerful. If you want … better gas mileage get the 2.6 four banger (super quality engine) with just RWD. These SUVs are tough and not flimsy like today’s cars. They are hard to find due to their age but if you can find one, even if it needs TLC, but it!!!! Mine had power steering, brakes, ice cold a/c and a decent factory stereo with cassette with full-logic controls. I’m an Isuzu enthusiast and I like these over the Troopers which I LOVE. I regret selling my Rodeo after so many years and miles. It was still in great operating condition.
