Big value in a small package

2020 Hyundai Venue
Bought a new 2020 Venue SE with a 6-spd manual in October 2020. With close to 27,000 miles since purchase, I've averaged 46.7 mpg. Expect city 30 mpg and highway 44 mpg. Rural driving yields 50+ mpg. The gearing with the manual transmission is well mated to the 1.6L engine for both decent acceleration and great mpg, but causes high revs (3000+) over 65 mph. The Venue is a bit squirrely … over 60 mph due to its light 2,600lb weight and short wheelbase. It comes standard with 8" touchscreen that supports Android and Apple Car Play. It's glitchy though. Fold down rear seats and a two level hatch floor provide decent cargo space. It sas many standard safety features, including active lane departure warning/management and forward collision detection. Hyundai skimped on quality materials were it matters least and built a solid, small vehicle that should provide years of lost cost operation. The Venue is an economy, utilitarian vehicle that is comfortable, reliable, safe. Plus, with the manual transmission fun to drive on country roads.
