Dealer Review:

I'm fuming right now. I called to make an appointment for a test drive at the Canoga Park Carmax. I gave them the car's stock number. They said to come in at 8PM for the test drive. Great! I get there at 8 on the dot, sign in... car doesn't seem to be ready. In fact, a salesperson doesn't see me until 8:30. We then take 15 minutes to process my insurance, copy my driver's license for the test drive, by now it's 8:45... and they say it's too late to do the test drive. Dude, I drove from West Hollywood for this friggin' test drive. 45 minutes there, 45 minutes at Carmax, and a 40 minute drive back... 2 HOURS AND 10 MINUTES of my life and I don't even get to drive the friggin' car?!? The manager said the only thing he could do is reschedule the test drive for the following day. I was on time. Why did I even bother scheduling a test drive? Sorry buddy, you lost a customer. Too bad, the car looked sweet too.

My bad experience with both was the same. I have cash to buy and a trade in but can't access a human at the sales site to get information via e-mail. I'm hard of hearing and can't do the phone, and when my wife tried to explain that to a person she finally got on the phone, they actually laughed at her. So, I've blocked car max in my vehicle searches permanently and took the time to document my experience. There are plenty of dealers out there that will work with you honestly and in a helpful way.

Worked with Chris to purchase a vehicle which we love. We were promised they would purchase our vehicle at said price with the additional $1600 for a tax, tag, & title credit because we were doing a trade in. The state had our title messed up in which Daryl the manager said no worries they could still do the purchase of our current vehicle at said price no matter the time frame. We finally get the title cleared(the state had 420,000 miles vs 42k) a month later. We go to sign the paperwork and they can no longer do it as it's been to long(approximately 30 days we all know how the government works) even though Daryl and Chris both said it wouldn't be an issue but they forgot they said that. Needless to say they both lied and only wanted to sell the vehicle and not give us the additional tax, tag, title credit. This will be the last time we deal with them and I would recommend everyone stay away from these two. If they promise something make sure you get it in writing.
