2021 Hyundai Santa Fe
So disappointed in this car. We got a fully loaded lemon which started to seriously malfunction at only 2100 miles. Computer module malfunction put car in collision control mode and loss of power steering - a potentially life threatening malfunction. While Hyundai offers many fancy features for less this and their inability to fix the problem has tainted our opinion of this vehicle. …
Update: if this problem wasn’t bad enough the vehicle has started lane correction with no vehicles around jerking the car to the right. Front end and side collision started going off for no reason. Brought it to the dealer who did a “fix” for it and it remains to be seen whether it will actually be fixed. This was a TSB and should be a recall involving a camera. I have never owned a vehicle with such potentially dangerous, life threatening malfunctions. Update 2025: still having the same problems. Had to call Hyundai corporation who was in contact with the dealership. The service manager refused to replace the camera. His fix? Keep the car and drive it around until they could recreate the problem with no timeline and no loaner provided to us. And Hyundai corporation said they had to defer to the dealership as they are independently owned. Despite the TSB’s fix for it. The last time we did this they had the car for over a month, drove it 100’s of miles, gave it back to us dead empty, dinged the side door and the problem appeared several times after that shortly that.
