Dealer had agreed to sell me an Accord Hybrid at an excellent price thanks to my company discount. We had agreed to a time to meet to sign the paperwork and to put down a deposit until the car had arrived from transit. As I'm getting ready to head over, I get a car from the dealership that the car had not only arrived earlier in the day, they sold it to someone else before I could even get over there. I get the sense of urgency and likely the fact that this other customer had agreed to pay more, but this was so stupid and short sighted. The 2024's are coming in soon and I'm sure you could have another Accord shipped to the dealership to meet this customer's demands. Instead, you decide to piss off a sure thing and ensure I will not only never return to this dealership again, but write a review to let people know how unprofessional these people are. So instead of 2 happy customers, you have 1. Doesn't take a genius to know this is bad business. I wasted an entire week speaking to this dealer and turning down other offers to purchase this car, and now my process essentially has to start over. I kindly suggest refraining from providing them with your credit information until you have agreed upon all financial terms. In my case, they ran my credit before finalizing the price and financial arrangements, which put me in a challenging situation. Although some managers may respond to comments in a friendly manner, it's important to approach with careful consideration. Prior to my attempted purchase, I had read various comments, but unfortunately, one of the managers I interacted with displayed rudeness and disrespect, which didn't align with the online interactions. It appears that they may be friendly only when they believe there is a financial advantage. Otherwise, the level of respect may be inconsistent. In light of my experience, my advice to others is to thoroughly evaluate their options before deciding to buy a Kia. If Kia is your preferred choice, I suggest seeking out a dealership with high reviews from genuine customers who have shared their experiences. To Kia, I respectfully recommend implementing monitoring and evaluation processes for your dealerships. Some locations, like Kia of Irvine, might inadvertently lead to losing valuable customers. As for me, I have decided not to purchase a Kia in the future based on my experience.
