Dealer Review:

I paid cash for a used car and within two weeks it was in the shop. You can't get a warm body on the phone and this so called luxury dealer can't even afford a receptionist. I've called and left messages with no response. I've asked for extended warranty pricing with no response. My salesman doesn't even have the professionalism to send me a follow up call to see how my car is. They sold it to me with a recall I had to get fixed at a different dealership. I will say the McKinney Audi dealership is absolutely fantastic! I'll buy from them next time. I went up there numerous times because I could not get a warm body to figure out where my plates were. The sales team saw me waiting while they had their morning sales meeting but never acknowledged me until they finished their meeting. The meeting lasted ten minutes. I had to wait another 20 minutes for them to give me new paper tags. I had to go up there a third time to see if my plates had come in. They found my plates in the back and I asked why had nobody called me? My lazy salesman didn't even offer to put them on my vehicle. What kind of dealership is this? This is a poorly run dealership and I will never buy a car from them again. The GM should be fired!

Dealer Review:

You can tell a lot about a business by how they operate during difficult times and from all the dealerships I have spoken too, Southwest Kia of Rockwall, was by far, one of the greediest of them all. Having been in this post-pandemic, chip shortage, car-buying experience for a while now, I have spent endless hours looking at dealerships, cars, sticker prices, markups, dealer add-ons, etc. Usually I have a found that a dealership will post their markup and dealer add-ons on their website, add it to the sticker price, or note it in the dealer options on the Kia website or their own website, basically not hide the fact they are going to overcharge you simply because they were the lucky dealership to get a hot car. Not this dealership. I knew I found a hot car and that I got very lucky finding it so I looked at their website several times, looked at the Sticker Price several times, read dealer notes, called and spoke to a sales person and knew I needed to move on it quickly so I left work early. I drove 1.5 hours to this dealership ready to purchase the vehicle. When I get there, the salesperson informs me the sales manager is going to add a markup to the sales price. Huh, so the sticker price isn’t correct now? The price on the website isn’t correct? Thinking I might be in for a small markup, the salesperson comes back with a $10,000 markup added to MSRP. Says this is a hot car and other dealerships are doing it or adding options ... as if that justifies it. At least with options you actually get something. I guess I moved too fast, showed too much interest in the vehicle, but a $10,000 markup is nothing but pure greed, especially when you proudly display a “code of ethics” sign on the wall. A simple text, call or "we are greedy notice" would have been welcomed. So my advice is don’t believe what you see on their website, don't believe their sticker prices as none of that seems to matter, they can and might decide to change the price once you arrive at the dealership. If you do decide to go here, before making any purchase I’d recommend calling other Kia dealerships to compare.

Just bought a Volvo xc90. Car is great but they don’t get credit for that. They presented the purchase agreement and surprised me with a $1495 WPP fee. Not disclosed anywhere on their website and I called in advance and drove from a few hours out. Not only having an appointment and talking to the sales guy a couple days prior the car wasn’t even cleaned up and washed when we showed up. After we haggled through their BS fee they went to “detail” the car. NOPE!! They made us wait two hours so they could install a GPS device in the car that they said was already in it. We were waiting with our young children and I only realized all this until after when we got in the car and I could tell the OBD port was messed around with. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I would never return this dealer, at closing it was the typical hard sell on a warranty. I paid cash to avoid even more BS from the “finance” guy who looked to be even worse then the sales guy who I could tell was somewhat embarrassed by the tactics of the dealer he worked for.
