Dealer Review:

I could give this dealership a 0 then I would.  Only reason I would give it a 1 would be because of the awesome sales rep Jayson. Came from an hour and a half away to see a vehicle, we were assisted by the sales rep Jayson who was very professional and helpful. Decided to purchase the vehicle, got the out the door pricing, let them know that I already secured the financing thru my own bank. Had to leave due to a work meeting and spoke to one of the reps in financing and he advised that I could start the paperwork process and it would be ready by the time I would return in the evening to speed it up. Then that's when the nightmare started. When I returned in the evening (after driving an hour and a half again!) The process was supposed to resume. They requested a copy of my insurance information to make sure I had full coverage. However this time, instead of working with the same person in financing who was there earlier in the afternoon, we were met by the sales manager Lucas (who by the way gave me his card so that in his words I could "spell it right") Lucas then began to give us his explanation about how we could not drive away with the car because they needed to wait until their bank completely cleared the cashiers check from my bank and that they always do it this way. Uum as if this is my first time buying a car? I know that's a straight lie! Mind you, the car I was going to purchase was already considered used because the person it was originally sold to couldn't follow thru with the loan and had to return it after a few days and 500 miles later. (And that came directly from financing when they explained why the car was selling for the price it was.) When I said this, Lucas rudely said "well you were lied to!" Wow so now apart from being rude and unprofessional, you also want to put in question the integrity of not one but 2 of your coworkers including the financing reps?Doesn't give a good look to this dealership at all. He then proceeded to tell us that we didn't have to purchase from them. Well you are absolutely right about that! Do not waste your time even if you are local to this dealership because in Lucas' own words you don't need to purchase from them. Take your business elsewhere unless you are okay with wasting hours at a dealership who clearly doesn't want to sell a vehicle.

This is dealership is no better than the unethical ones you would find near LAX. I emailed and spoke with Anthony the internet service manager about a certified preowned Kia Soul I saw on their site. I wanted the car. Spoke to Anthony, I filled out the credit app and was approved (he ran my credit which was 811 FICO), I have my own financing at a better rate than what the dealership can offer. He asked for a $500 deposit to hold the car and take it off the market, as the vehicle would not be ready until the following day because it needed shock/strut service. I gave him the deposit. That evening, I received an email saying, "As it turns out the Soul was sold to another customer and we refunded your deposit of $500." WTF?! That is the entire point of a deposit was to ensure this didn't happen! No explanation, apology, or restitution. So now I don't have the car BUT since they needlessly ran my credit, my score has gone down 10 points for no reason, so I'm the one who suffers to get another car. This is unacceptable and would expect more from any legitimate dealership.

From the moment Jeff Goulding and I spoke, I felt like I could trust him. I don't usually like to be hovered over when shopping for anything but Jeff made me feel like he was really helping me. He went out of his way and spent about 5 hours with us getting the financial numbers where we needed them. He didn't rush us like he wanted to go help someone else, he stuck with us to the end. Erick in the finance dept was the same. he was honest and helped us make the right decisions. The whole experience at Tustin Buick/GMC was a positive one! I drove 80 miles to this dealership because I was planning on buying a white Honda Odyssey with grey interior. However, much to my surprise, the interior was Mocha Brown. A big difference from grey and the exact interior I hate. Wasted drive for false advertising. Car has been on the lot for almost 6 months and the sales manager insisted they are the lowest price and was not willing to negotiate. So maybe it’s still on the lot because of false advertising. They did have the audacity to tell me “I should have called ahead and confirmed the color” to which I replied “I trusted your website” all the while Cesar insisted the interior color was grey, so even if I had called that would have been the information given. The interior was clearly the “mocha leather” and the manger said brown or mocha is not an option to put on the website. I find this to be a poor excuse, as I have been shopping for an Odyssey for a couple months and all dealerships have been able to truthfully indicate if the interior is Mocha, so it is an option.
