Eddie specifically told me the Dodge truck we called about had no rust. Said it ran and drove great. I asked alot of questions as we live 4 hours away. My son got his insurance and loan done at the bank. We left home at 4:30 am to get their when they opened at 9am. 9am, and nobody is at the dealership. I text Eddie, and he's running late. He knew for 3 days I was going to be there at 9am sharp. Then, there is no sign of the truck. Eddie says it's at his other lot and will be right back. 20 minutes later, he pulls in. First thing I noticed is rust everywhere. Remember, that was one of my first questions. Then, there is a strong smell of Antifreeze, and oil leaks on the Engine everywhere. We decided to go ahead and drive it. We almost didn't make it back, because when we came to the first stoplight, the brake pedal went all the way to the floor!! I started pumping the brakes and at the last split second we stopped just short of running over the car in front of us. We pulled over in a parking lot to do a better inspection. Oil leaks underneath everywhere, then everything under the truck was rusting and peeling off. We drove back to the dealership. Less than 1 minutes after getting back, there was a puddle of break fluid under the truck the size of a basketball. Eddie laughed when I told him he has a pile of shi$%. He still insisted it drove fine when he brought it to the lot. [non-permissible content removed]! The tires were so dry rotted, that they had cracks in between every tread bar! They were ready to blow out at anytime! I cannot believe that a place like this can still be in business! I had another previous Illinois resident warn us about this place. I wish I would have read all the reviews before we even attempted to purchase here. We had to drive 4 hours back home empty handed. Now my son has to pay a fee to the bank for termination of the loan paperwork, wasted gas for the trip, and 10 hours of his and my time. The only thing we got out of this experience is to learn how crooked and unreliable purchasing from someone you don't know can be. I wouldn't even give them 1 star, but you have to in order to write the review. Hopefully someone else will read this and it could save them some time and money!

I looked for a long time for a 2019 dually to pull my 5th wheel (can't get 6 speed transmission after 2019 in diesel trucks). Found a 2019 listed at Schimmer's that was what I was looking for. Called and worked a deal over the phone. Drove 5 hours to get the truck and it was everything they described and listed. Chad and Scott were really great and easy to work with. I would highly recommend a drive to Schimmer's if you are thinking about one of their vehicles.

We signed many documents, which they tell you, you will get copies of later. Be careful we did not. i.e., their Dealer statement that you have XX days to return the car. MAKE SCREEN SHOTS FOR YOUR OWN RECORDS BEFORE YOU LET THEM WALK AWAY WITH ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!! They won’t give them to us regardless of how many times we have asked. Our calls are NOT being returned. If you are looking at a vehicle online, MAKE A COPY/PRINT OUT OF IT BEFORE YOU GO! The posted miles in our case seemed to have changed from when we left house vs when we agreed to buy the car (i.e. 44K vs 48K). Their contention is that they changed it the night before and that it takes some time to update however the slight price reduction already did show up. We purchased the car on Sat-9/17 and told them that we wanted to return the car on Mon-9/19. Their response is that the deal was complete on Sat. They stated that we could come in with the car and they could work out a trade in price but there was no option to return the car. Likewise, although we have excellent credit, we were given a ‘higher’ finance rate 7.59% through GMC Finance. You can likely do better almost anywhere else i.e., 4.34%. We are trying to switch out the finance company, but GMC stated as of 9/20 they do not have the transaction on their books. We waited almost all day to get to speak to the only Finance rep they had on site. That should have been our 1st clue to hit the road. If you are in a similar situation RUN DO NOT WALK!

I rented this vehicle for a month and wanted to purchase it. Desales division needed to inspect her prior to the sale. After a week I was able to purchase it. I had notified them of a chip in the windshield which was not repaired. Causing me to miss work to have it repaired. None of the filters in the car have ever been changed. And they kindly took off a nice set of matching tires and placed a cheap pair on the front and a cheap pair on the back that do not match.
