Fastest SS Ever

2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV
Context: I had a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer Premier (loaded gas-powered Blazer) with intention of eventually getting the much-talked about Blazer EV SS once it comes out--this was Summer 2020. I know it was peak COVID but there were flyers and info sheets at the dealer already bragging about the upcoming EV SUV. (At the time, they told me Fall/Winter of that same year.) Fast-forward to Winter … 2023 and my wife and I were in that same dealership since her Z71 was getting the comp oil change. I'd been checking in with the dealership every 4-5 months--basically at each oil change on my Blazer Premier. This instance was no different unfortunately. The salesman said probably a few more months. (When I asked then, they had a total of TWO Blazer EVs--white base model EVs; vanilla af.) I got tired of waiting and pulled the trigger on the car that the Blazer was designed after: the Chevrolet Camaro (2023). The model I wanted wasn't even on the lot though. The blacked-out '23 Camaro RS 3LT was what I selected. (3LT means all the features in a Camaro without the gas-guzzling engine of SS or LT1 or ZL1, since it was to be my daily driver.) Within a month, I'd customized it to resemble the newest Batman movie's Batmobile. Dual 5" straight pipe exhaust, K&N titanium cold air intake filter, dark tint and sun strip on windshield, tint on headlights/indicators/taillights, replaced side panel badges with '68 Camaro scripts, and replaced RS on grille with '68 Camaro dashboard badge.
With ALL that said, just last week, I was looking up Blazer EV SS and found the only blacked-out Blazer EV SS in the state. This was at 11am, by 4pm I had parked it in my garage. (It was the best experience at a Chevrolet dealership in my life--I've had Chevy since '07 and this was 4th dealership I'd financed a vehicle though.)
The vehicle itself has been awesome. The only knock that I've found are the stiffer than expected seats.
Other than that, the drive is smooth and very fast, the design is great--the animated bow/headlights/taillights are a nice Knight Rider throwback. It also has HUD with speed limit sign reminder (very handy given the specs on this thing), a full moonroof that goes from front seat to backseat, and spacious cargo space behind the back seat with a cargo door that can be set to proximity (great for parking in driveway but not so great for parking in garage with garage entry/stairs immediately behind Blazer).
For the drive itself, the WOW button fully delivers the acronym's phonetics--the logo resembling Batman outline is a cool bonus too (especially given my carryover from Camaro aka Batmobile in design aspect/love of all things Batman). The technology is insanely futuristic, everything adjusts accordingly via entrance/exit of the vehicle. When you open the door and sit in driver's seat with key fob on you, the Blazer EV SS will start up and signal seat belt reminder (assuming you're not buckled already), it will turn on heated/cooled seats and temperature based on outside temperature/weather, and of course last display accordingly as well. (If music was playing it will resume, if maps were up too it will show corresponding split-screen of both, etc.)
Overall, fastest SS that Chevrolet has ever made and easily matches/beats every other EV SUV in its category. For first-time EV owners, such as myself, Chargepoint, Shell, Electrify America, and PlugShare are 4 must-have apps that will make your life much easier. (FYSA: Shell and Electrify America focus mostly on fast charge locations.) Chargepoint is most common home charging station as well--getting mine installed this week. PlugShare is a good overall app that shows detailed info on the charging station locations and seems to be most reliable on statuses too--obviously very important.
Conclusion: Buy the Chevrolet EV SS. Period.
PS: Sorry for lengthy comment/review, what motivated me to even type this was the horribly written one here... by Edmunds. The page is for 2025 Chevrolet EV SS yet most data is overall Chevrolet EV (base/RS/who knows?) and worse yet, the videos are all last year's models for, again, a 2025 Chevrolet EV SS page. I don't know if it was just cutting corners on the writer's/company's part or what, but it reeks of laziness regardless.
