My experience with Napleton Lincoln of River Oaks exceeded all expectations. I purchased a 2017 MKZ from Ken Hooks 5 years ago. When I took my vehicle in for servicing I ran into Ken in the River Oaks dealership - he's the General Sales Manager. We started talking and, from the great experience I had 5 years ago, this was beyond that. I told him I needed to go back to a SUV and he introduce me to his Sales Consultant Audre Green who show me beautiful 2022 Nautilus. Long story short I ended up trading my 2017 MKZ in and purchasing the Nautilus. I picked it up 2 days later and met Brittany who went over the many many, and I do mean many, feature this vehicle has. Do you want to purchase a vehicle that is ready to drive? Do you want to spend an extra $6,000 after purchasing your car? Do you want to buy a car from a reputable dealer, who upholds the purchase agreement? Do you want to buy a car from a dealer, where you can feel secure that the car was serviced by a service department, that knows what it is doing? If so, then I-Auto is not for you, and you need to shop elsewhere. My wife and I test drove a car, and the service engine light came on while we were test driving it. When we returned from the test drive we told the sales person, who took the car back to his service department which scanned the codes, and said they thought it was a bad O2 sensor. The salesman checked with his bosses, and they said they would resolve the service engine light codes, so we went ahead and bought the car, and left if with them. After their service department had the car for a week, they called and said it was fixed. I went and got the car. When I asked what work was done on the car, they couldn't/wouldn't tell me. On the way home the service engine light came back on. I called them when I got home, and they said I could bring it back and they would look at it again. I took the car to Advance Auto and had them scan the engine codes for me. I took the car back to I-Auto, and they had it for another week, and again called and said it was fixed, and they had replaced the O2 sensor. Once again, I went and picked the car up, and the service engine light came back on, while driving it home. I called I-Auto when I got home, and they service tech, said I needed to talk to the Service Manager, on Monday. I took the car again to Advance Auto Parts, and they scanned the codes again for me, and they were the same exact codes. On Monday I called, and spoke to the Service manager. He immediately was nasty, saying they replaced the O2 sensor based on the engine code, and didn't know what to tell me. What he didn't share was the engine code being thrown, is normally an issue with the Catalyst converter, and not the O2 sensor. Quick research online states that. When I advised him of this, he immediately tried to dismiss this as the cause, and when I said online it also said how to test if the catalyst converter is the problem. He quickly said there really isn't a way to test the catalyst converter. He continued to get nasty, and it became clear he had not intention on fixing the car. I then took the car to a independent repair shop, and then ultimately to a KIA dealership to be fixed. The Independent Repair Shop, found that I-Auto had installed the wrong O2 sensor. KIA confirmed that the catalyst converters (both of them) were the cause of the service engine light, just as I had read online, and needed to be replaced. KIA did state that any reputable dealer, would have fixed this for their customer, since the issue existed before the purchase. After buying the car on July 31, I was finally able to drive the car in November without any further issues. Of course, Catalyst Converters are excluded on the extended warranty. I-Auto gets their cars from auctions, so you would assume the majority of these cars have issues that would have to be fixed, and they would know how to do that. Not sure if the I-Auto Service Manager is really this clueless on how to test parts, or if he knew all along, that the issue was with the catalyst converter, and didn't want to fix it??? I would have thought the later. That would explain why he got nasty when I mentioned what I had read about the engine code normally being an issue with the Catalyst Converter, and not the O2 sensor. But again they did install the wrong O2 sensor??? I-Auto also only lets you take the car out for a test drive no more than 15 miles, and the cars rarely have much gas in their tanks, so taking it to a mechanic to look over, is almost impossible. My complaint about I-Auto is not the first, and most likely won't be the last. You will want to read the other complaints left (especially on BBB), and not just the reviews their friends and family have left. I have since read other reviews left by other “victims”, (for example a review left 2/18/2020 on BBB) and per Jesse the sales manager, when asked about the inspection the vehicle goes through at I-Auto, he admitted they know about the mechanical issues.” Another review elsewhere, also stated, when that buyer confronted I-Auto about knowing about issues with the vehicles, and just covering them up (i.e. Just clearing the check engine light codes), and not disclosing them to the buyer, their response was “… that there were no laws against that.” In many states this is considered dealer fraud, and if it not in Ohio, it should be. Purposely clearing check engine codes, to cover up issues with a vehicle, and not disclosing the issues is unethical. One other note, when I-Auto tries to sell you the extended warranty, they tell you, that you can cancel it anytime. That is a lie. You only have 30 days to cancel it. After that, the only way to cancel it is if the car is totaled by your insurance company, or the car is repossessed by the bank. If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is... My advice is go to a reputable dealer, at least they will honor their purchase agreements, and not just clear the check engine light.

Current used car purchasing reality with Arlington Acura: 1. The price on the internet is not the real price. 2. The quote you receive when you inquire about the car on the internet is not the real price. 3. When you respond to your quote via email and request what mandatory fees will be part of the deal, you will not get the courtesy of a response. And yes, I called the Internet sales number requesting the same info and I never received a call back. 4. When you go to the dealership (because they seemingly won't respond to your email or voice message if you want to know the real price before you get to the dealership - and they really have the car you want) you will learn they will add minimally $1700 to the used car price on the internet by adding "services" to the car that come with approximately a 500% profit margin - "etching" and "appearance protection". That then becomes the actual price. 5. On the sales floor, the great and wondrous Wizard of Oz (sales manager) sits behind his curtain (counter) and dispatches his salesman back and forth to basically tell you about how hot the car market is now and how non-negotiable the prices of these additional high margin "services" are. I cannot tell you if those additional "service amounts" are truly non-negotiable or not and I do not know what shenanigans may occur in the Finance (closing) office after they purposefully try to exhaust you on the sales floor. I left after my salesmen's second return trip from the Wizard because I could not tolerate the earlier lack of ethics in advertising combined with the subsequent and unnecessary drama in the sales process. I am not naïve, I have purchased many used cars, but this process has become even more unnecessarily dirty recently. About two weeks later the car I wanted was on Carmax with a few less miles. Their process was much more transparent and I so I purchased my used MDX from them. Maybe I paid a little more. But I somehow doubt it. And frankly, I don't care. I simply felt more respected throughout their sales process. I knew the price from the outset. Arlington Acura's Internet Sales Team, Mr. Useini in Used Car Sales, and the entirety of the Arlington Acura senior management team needs to rethink how they want to earn their customers' respect and then their long term business. Yes, Arlington Acura can get away with the current yellow brick road psychodrama for now - as they and many others have done in the past. But people will remember the disrespect they were shown and over time they will find alternatives that suck less. Like I did. I understand today's marketplace. It is a seller's market. Prices are high because inventory is low and demand is steady. But that does not excuse a lack of ethics in business practices. Treat your customers with respect. Advertise the real price. Failing that, provide the mandatory fees in the text of the ad. Failing that, at least provide the mandatory service fees in the internet quote you provide. And lastly, failing that, at least respond to an email that asks for those fees. Don't make someone drive 30 minutes to your dealership to learn about these fee
