I called on a specific SUV I found on Edmunds. Edmunds description and pictures showed this vehicle to be the one I had been looking for, even though I was 97 miles away in RI. I called Monday August 31 at about 10 am and talked to a salesman. I will not reveal his name, what happened that day may be what he was required to do by others...I do not have that information. I introduced myself and asked him if I could have the CarFax report sent to me. He told me that would not be a problem and asked me to wait while he checked to make sure vehicle had not been sold. When he came back I was told the vehicle was available. I asked him if they would send the vehicle to a RI dealer for me to see and I was told no. He told me they would like to move this vehicle Monday since it was the end of the month. I was asked if I would be making a down payment and how much it would be. I offered $480.00 less than the listed price and said I would put down $15k. He took my number and told me he would call me back after he ran my offer past his boss. Two hours later still no return call. I called him back and when he got on the phone he just told me that "the vehicle was no longer available". I had already arraigned a ride for Wednesday (today) to bring me to handle paperwork and pick up vehicle. Hearing that the vehicle was no longer available, and not sold, are two different things. He did not even tell me if my offer was accepted or denied. I do not think that is the way to treat a prospective customer.

I recently purchased a 2012 Audi A4 from Richmond Audi, through salesperson Ken Paciocco, and had an absolutely wonderful experience! I had wanted this car for months, but when the clutch in my previous vehicle went, the search became more pressing! What is necessary to understand is that I live in Connecticut. As I need to drive a manual transmission vehicle for a multitude of reasons, my search was fruitless in my area. I decided to open up my distance parameters, and I found this car! Ken was extremely responsive, genial, and honestly excited about the prospect of getting me in this car!! He bucked the "used car salesman" trope from the first conversation. After getting off that first call, I turned to my boyfriend and said, "I found my car!!" Ken made the process SO simple. From start to finish, it went smoothly. I really didn't think it would go off without a hitch, but it was great! We were picked up at the airport and driven to the dealership, which was awesome, considering our flight was 90 min late. Ken met us right away, and my car had a big red bow on it. What every girl dreams of, lol! The finance department was able to get me an amazing interest rate, which was 16% lower than I was going to get with that horrid vending machine company! I wish I could remember the finance gentleman's name, but I'm blanking! He also made the process very smooth. In summary, I am now an Audi convert for life. When I am in the market for a new one, there is absolutely no possibility that I would go anywhere other than Richmond Audi! After a great sales experience with those working on the floor at Seacoast VW, I was extremely disappointed when I started working with management and financial. Very rude, pressure you to get a loan through them, they make empty promises and do not care about the customers whatsoever. I have truly never been so horrified at the unprofessionalism, especially over the phone. I will never be going back there. You are better off going to another VW or shopping online. Truly a horrendous experience for me. They sold the car I was going to get before I got there (I had an appointment that day to purchase the vehicle). Be careful if you are at Seacoast Volkswagen.
