Horrible experience. Strongly warn against trusting this company. I found a solid deal on their site for the exact car I was looking for, and was told it was "Shift Certified" by their 150 point in house inspection. Okay, so sounds like it's in great working shape. I drive an hour and a half to test drive the car, and the convertible top isn't working. I tell the salesman I would have bought the car on the spot, except a faulty convertible top could mean thousands in repairs. I tell them to please fix the convertible top and call me back as soon as its fixed. I don't get any calls. I call a few days later to check in, they say the techs are working on it. This morning, a few days later, I wake up and see a "sale pending" notification online for the car. I call Shift hoping it's some kind of mistake, and guess what... They fixed the convertible top yesterday, and never called me, emailed me, or texted me to let me know as I'd requested. And instead, they sold it to someone else. The hilarious thing? For all that F-, non personal, non thoughtful, dishonest service, they still charge a $1000 "dealer fee" with every sale – despite their 150 point inspection not being thorough enough to even catch a non working convertible top. Not only will I never be doing businesses with Shift again, but I will be warn every car buyer I know against them. If this is the future of car buying, the buyer is fully screwed.

Back for another deal session with Helen (and with props to Zach S!). This would be my second deal in 8 months witih Santa Monica Audi. Warm, friendly, and inviting. Never the hard sell. Zach is also one of the rare, upstanding people in the auto sales industry- he is a person with integrity. #Respect. I had a pretty solid, unicorn like lease deal for 2019 Audi eTron at another well known Audi shop nearby with the incentives to move these vehicles- Costco, Audi Loyalty, stackable incentives, etc and they put together another unbelievable deal. Since this deal was actually for my brother who lives in SF, I was the proxy facilitating this deal. Helen (and Zach was able to work his magic with using MSDs) were pretty adept at keeping all of us in the loop. And especially for Helen to come in and spend her day off working on this deal with me and my brother. Since the CA DMV paperwork needs physical signatures, FedEx was involved to get signatures for these documents. Other than that, I will be getting picked up later this week and brought to the dealership for final delivery of my brother's eTron. If you want to a deal on an Audi, go see Helen and Zach. Dealer Review:
Brought in the Truecar papers for a specific car, was told that a car nearby had the same features and they wouldn't have to pull a car from a different lot, and got one with less features that cost more(after being told it was the same). Being a black man and woman buying a car, we knew our chances of getting a deal were minimal. We didn't think we'd get fleeced on this scale though. According to Truecar, we got stuck with a higher than normal price(in the High category). We really needed a car though. The sales people kept trying use distraction techniques(like showing family video) every time we asked about something. Ended up getting the car only because it was still under the MSRP with the incentives. If you consider buying from them, make sure you have your arms and legs after the transaction. PS - Unfortunately, I've seen them respond to others reviews with copy/paste responses that they were concerned and not a single review updating with them RESOLVING an issue. I question if the response is just PR and if they've ACTUALLY tried to help a dissatisfied customer. I'll update this review if they actually do.

While searching for a SUV online I found a used 2018 Audi SQ5 Premium Plus for $46,983, Black Red interior with 3550 miles at FLETCHER JONES AUDI. I replied online and on Tuesday morning I received a call from Erika Milton. I requested that they bring the car to my home because I wanted to see if it fit into garage with the roof rails on it and also to appraise my AUDI S4. She responded later that the Manager was unavailable at that time. Erika stated that she would call me the next day. This was Tuesday, and I had appointments Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Erika called me Wednesday and said they could not come to my home. She should have stopped there! She continued to talk and justify why FLETCHER JONES AUDI did not operate this way and most people come into the store and buy a car and leave. Erika’s tone was defensive and argumentative and I ended the phone conversation. I called FLETCHER JONES AUDI directly and asked for the name of the General Manager. I was told he was Brandon Hill. I asked to speak with him and I waited a while on hold and was eventually told that he was unavailable. I requested a call back. I never received a call back from Brandon Hill. That afternoon I received credit application from Michelle Racine from FLETCHER JONES AUDI, I filled it out completely and also forwarded a Pre-Approval letter from Southland Credit Union. Because I wanted to purchase this car, I got the price from Southland Credit Union for a 7-year, 100,000-mile warranty. I called Michelle Racine who was helpful. I told her that I wanted to purchase the car and was willing to make a deposit. I also mention 2 more things to Racine; 1. I think that Erika Milton handed our last call unprofessionally. Racine said they would review the phone conversation. 2. Racine said she would have Brandon Hill; General Manager call me. For the second time I did not receive a call from Brandon Hill. On Thursday I noticed that the 2018 Audi SQ5 was removed from the online website. A short time later I received from Erika Jones informing me that the car I was interested in had been sold. Would I be interested in anything else from FLETCHER JONES AUDI. I said no and ended the phone call. During my entire interaction with FLETCHER JONES AUDI I received no calls from any Manager or Qualified Salesperson. My two messages to Brandon Hill did not result in a phone call. I found the interaction with FLETCHER JONES AUDI to be substandard and unprofessional. I do not like the way I way treated and THIS IS THE WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. I have owned four AUDI’S and love the brand. My friends have bought six AUDI’s as a result of my loyalty to the brand. Larry Baker
