Dealer Review:

This dealership tried to add over $3,000 in addition to taxes, tags, and dealer processing to their advertised "Guaranteed Wow" price. The fees included over $2,000 for a reconditioning fee and another $700 for some sort of deluxe detail package. The sales person did quickly remove the $700 fee but admitted that the store advertises a lower "Wow" price to get people in the door and then add the restoration fee. After showing the Koons Wow Price Promise on the Koons website the general manager removed the restoration fee. The only reason I drove to this dealership was the reassurance that there would be no hidden fees associated with the Koons Wow price, finding out this not be the case was disappointing. When I took delivery of the car, in addition to only being provided one key fob the vehicle had a warning light displayed stating there was an issue with the remote starter. I was instructed to take the vehicle to a Honda dealership to have this issue diagnosed. The vehicle needed a new start/stop switch. Koons did reimburse me for this expense but it took a few reminders to have the reimbursement check sent to me. I was told the check would be over-nighted but instead it took two weeks to get reimbursed. I've had the vehicle for a little over a month and the second key fob that was supposed to be mailed has never arrived. I contacted my sales associated several times and told several times that it would be sent. I don't like having to be a pest and repeatedly check on the status of an item. I have texted and emailed several times and at this point am counting my losses. The sales associate, Dequan, was cordial and helpful, though I'm not sure why he never sent the key fob. Had it not been for Dequan I would have likely walked away from this dealership and rated it a one.

Kami sent us out for a test drive. We decided to purchase the truck, but due to them being so busy we deferred delivery until Monday. Since my wife couldn't make Monday they allowed her to sign her part Saturday. All total we were there a little over 2 hrs. On Monday when I went for delivery, there was an issue with the truck''s Vin, it was accidentally swapped with another on the paperwork. We shared that issue equally. So it took a little longer to finally take delivery as the paperwork needed redone. Kami and others involved were extremely apologetic. But I understand how it happened. All got resolved and I am extremely happy with my 2019 F150, the price paid, and Kami, along with the entire staff at Bob Ruth Ford ! I would buy from them again and would recommend them. I saw the listing on Edmunds for a 2016 Honda Fit at Premier Auto, which was listed as an excellent deal at the price of $11999. When I spoke to someone at the dealership on the phone and told him I would be financing the car, he confirmed the price. However, as I was filling out the paperwork for the financing I noticed it was displaying the price as $12999. I was told the difference was due to financing the car. The extra $1000 was not interest on the loan, it was the purchase price. In addition, a $799 processing fee was added, as well as a $649 pre-delivery fee. After I was convinced to purchase a warranty for another $2200, I ended up spending much more than I originally intended. I probably should’ve walked away instead of signing off on it. To make matters worse, the temporary tag I was given blew off the car on the drive home. Overall not a good experience.
