I went to National because of a car I saw on their website. I went there to test drive and when I arrived they just got a nicer color of the BMW I wanted. I drove both and explained to the salesman Bob that my credit had some issues. Bob immediately got the Finance people to start working on my case. 1 hour later the told me what my down payment was and once I agreed, I was on my way out. It was like pulling teeth to get information out of customer service, in which they were aggressive and borderline rude. The car and the price was poorly inaccurate via online listing (I drove nearly 2 hours to visit this business and they were made aware of this prior to my visit). They sell high above market value (and won't budge an inch) and they laughably lowball trade-ins. I visited a legitimate dealership the day before and was offered $1k more for my trade-in than this one right off the bat. They will tell you they want to put you in a high quality car for a good deal, but it's all textbook slime car salesman nonsense. Total and complete utter waste of time. Stay far away for your own good.

Dealer Review:

McGuire Cadillac should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat customers and their poor business practices. We leased a brand new 2020 Escalade on 12/2/19 and as of this review 4/28/20 the truck has been at their dealership for the same problem 3 times and for weeks at a time. We've seriously had this truck in our possession for less than a month during the 5 months we've owned it. The rest of the time it's been sitting at the dealership, with "Cadillac engineers" trying to diagnose the problem to no avail. One would think that McGuire Cadillac would realize that this truck is obviously a lemon and would work with the customer to make them whole. Not a chance! We asked for them to purchase the truck back and refund us our money, but they refuse to do the right thing. I was advised to use the BBB (Better Business Bureau) to file a complaint and upon doing so, the BBB can't even get the dealership or GM financial to respond. This dealership is a joke! They deflect blame while refusing the help their customers. I would think twice about purchasing or leasing from McGuire. If you have a problem like we did, don't expect any help from them, but GM financial will gladly check in with you for their payment every month. An Absolute joke!!!!

Went to check out a used Lexus RX. Mind you, I have people I know who work there and also buy vehicles there. I have lived in Smithtown my whole life and thought this dealership begging around as long as I have, would have stellar people working there, but I was proven wrong. I went in inquiring about that SUV, spent 15 minutes with John King, and showed interest in this car. He didn’t know they had it on the lot. I didn’t even take it out to drive. Went back two days later, bad weather again. Saw another salesperson, Bob. Very nice. He went over my appraisal, and was about to talk more about pricing, etc., but said, “ I should wait for John, I don’t want him to yell at me”. That should have been a flag. Put down a deposit. Went back 3 days later, to tell him I reconsidered. In the middle of the showroom, he was yelling at me for being inconsiderate that I didn’t call him first to tell him. He was made he did paperwork....paperwork? What paperwork? I spent a total of 30 minutes with him. I was expecting him to say let’s talk about this, maybe we can help you later when you’re ready...no, he was rude, and to be honest I didn’t engage since I thought he was going to have a heart attack. My husband was about to get into it but I stopped him. We had to go back home for thenoriginal paperwork and when I returned, other salespeople came up to me to apologize. He didn’t make a scene since people were now in the showroom and I suppose they were concerned I was going to make a scene but I’m not that type of person. This man should just retire and not be exposed to potential customers without other salespeople. I am completely disgusted with how I was treated m and will not step foot in there again. I work at a local upfittng truck dealership, and if I know someone will go there, I will mention what I went though to anyone that will hear me. Do not go there and deal with John King.
