Dealer Review:

I had a seemingly great experience with one salesman who worked to get me a deal on a Jeep Cherokee so that I could put money down and afford the car. However, he handed me off to another salesman who offered me the same deal via text to get me to come to the dealership that day. I agreed to the deal but before coming back I specifically asked him two questions: 1. Did the rate he was offering on the lease extend the length of the lease or change the mileage package? 2. Was the interior of the Jeep Black or Grey? He intentionally only replied to my question about the interior and ignored the other question to get me to come back to the dealership and con me into signing a longer lease with a significantly smaller mileage per year. I understood that the lower rate was due to the change in length and mileage but I did not appreciate him not disclosing this information to me before I came back to the dealership simply because he knew I would pass on the deal if those two components had changed. I felt lied to and got excited about signing that day only to find out the deal was not what we had discussed. I appreciate the deals this dealership has to offer, but their approach to getting you to sign is misleading. I would not trust them moving forward with a lease or financed car. Too sketchy.

She happily gave me an accurate quote over the phone and explained the program. When we arrived she was getting my car ready for me. She was very thorough with the paperwork and she also has a great personality. There was no rush to send us off and attend to the next customer. Darrel Hattox completed the financial portion of the transaction. He is very knowledgeable and there was no pressure to purchase any add ons I did not want. They do have a lifetime oil change that is a real cost savings to the consumer for around $550, not a bad deal for 2 oil changes a year. Dianne and Derek made a stressful situation pleasant. I enjoyed the entire process because of their transparency, honesty, and loyalty to their company and customers. Attention Costco members that want to use the Auto Program: Please Note: In total I contacted 2 Honda dealers about the Costco Auto Program. Each dealer negotiates with Costco monthly on discount price they are willing to take off of the car, so if you use the program shop around. DCH Honda took $1,000 off and the other dealer in National City took $100 off and no discount for dealer add ons... yikes! Do your homework.
