I inquired about a vehicle I saw on Carfax that was listed for $15999.00. I was excited to try to make a deal on this car. I asked what their best price would be. They actually sent me papers showing an out the door price of $17989.00. I was contacted by some other random person to try to finish off the deal. I offered a price of $15250.00 and was anticipating both parties settling on $15,500.00 not including everything else. This other random person then told me the price was like $19,899.00 or something very close. I said I already have an offer from them for $17989.00. I was angry and questioned why I was dealing with her and not my original salesperson. Now I get complete silence from them and when my original salesperson texts me back, he says oh we can't come down from the 17989.00. Then I get a text a little while later stating they made an error and the price was to low and now the new price is $19899.00. What a joke. No one knows what the other person is doing at that dealership. Don't believe their pricing as they will raise it on you. Just don't buy from them... very bad experience!!!

I'm fuming right now. I called to make an appointment for a test drive at the Canoga Park Carmax. I gave them the car's stock number. They said to come in at 8PM for the test drive. Great! I get there at 8 on the dot, sign in... car doesn't seem to be ready. In fact, a salesperson doesn't see me until 8:30. We then take 15 minutes to process my insurance, copy my driver's license for the test drive, by now it's 8:45... and they say it's too late to do the test drive. Dude, I drove from West Hollywood for this friggin' test drive. 45 minutes there, 45 minutes at Carmax, and a 40 minute drive back... 2 HOURS AND 10 MINUTES of my life and I don't even get to drive the friggin' car?!? The manager said the only thing he could do is reschedule the test drive for the following day. I was on time. Why did I even bother scheduling a test drive? Sorry buddy, you lost a customer. Too bad, the car looked sweet too.

The sales experience was very pleasant and everyone I interacted with was kind and professional. Service after the sale, accessory sales and scheduling specifically, leaves quite a bit to be desired. Lack of follow up, lack of call backs, lack of accurate information, etc... I really hope any interaction I have with the actual service department is better. So, nice place to get a new or used Toyota, but if you want accessories (OEM or aftermarket) for your vehicle I would recommend going elsewhere. UPDATE!! (1/20/21) I was asked to contact someone at Camelback Toyota in regards to my review the morning of 1/15/21. I sent them the requested e-mail on 1/15/21 at 10:45ish AM; I have yet to receive a reply. This just reiterates my experience of a real lack of service after the sale and a lack of follow-up when requested; even when they are the ones requesting the reply. I would also like to include one more, what I would consider, failure on the part of the dealership. My used 2019 vehicle has a 380 day old recall that is listed as "Extreme Risk - Collision" which they could have taken care of. They had time to detail and add an external paint protectant before offering the vehicle for sale so they had time to take care of the recall. Instead of ensuring that the vehicle was safe, they just made it look pretty then kicked it out into the sales floor. I am very upset at this. So, YMMV, but my after the sales experience with this dealership has been terrible and I would highly recommend going elsewhere for a new or used vehicle.
