On Monday December 23, my son and I drove to East Troy to look at a Nissan Altima SL. We test drove it and found out that at around 55 miles/hour, the steering wheel shakes bad. I told Autumn, the saleswoman, about it and she went inside, spoke with the owner and came back to tell me that because the tires a new, the owner thinks that it is probably a stuck caliper. Autumn told me that they have their own shop and will look at it and let me know. I did not hear from them the rest of the day. The following day, I called, and a lady answered and told me that Autumn was out for the day. The same lady told me that she gave my message to another salesman and that he would call me when he is done working with a customer. Nobody called me. The following day, Wednesday, they were closed. Therefore, I called Thursday and Autumn told me that they have not had a chance to look at it. Nonetheless, they would do it sometime today and she would call me back. I waited the whole day, but the phone call never came. The following day, their website showed that the car was sold. Here is my concern: If from the get-go I was told that the car is sold "As Is"; I would have made a choice to either buy it or look somewhere else. And I did emphasis the fact that I was not asking them to fix the problem. Just to tell me if it is safe to drive until I take it to a garage to fix the problem. I was told by 3 people that checking it for safety is their top priority especially that they have their shop on the promises. Why did you make me wait 3 days? I could have used these days to find another car? Why did you not tell me that you were not interested in checking what the problem is? Why did you keep telling me that you would check it whenever a space opens in the shop? I hope that you got a great joy out of deceiving a 17-year-old kid who was buying this first car ever. I hope that lying to my son, by giving him hope, will make you the richest person in the universe. I hope that it made your Christmas the best ever! By the way, I sent the dealer an email to which I have never gotten an answer. Sadness...
