Dealer Review:
I can NOT believe what just happened at this dealership. We were excited and ready to purchase a vehicle. BUT...
We spent two hours to get to the point of... no deal at all... even AFTER negotiations and terms... after signing most documents. Why? Because they refuse to honor the word of their salesperson, who knew (and we have witnesses) that the vehicle we were purchasing had a significant coolant leak. From the start to the bitter end... it was known that the leak would be repaired before we took delivery. In the end... again, AFTER I had already signed several documents in the finance office... they decided that they would NOT fix the leak, but only “refill with coolant”... thereby not honoring their word... and then try and send us on our way. Wow. Shady. This was likely because I am a decent negotiator and then also refused to purchase their third party warranty, meaning they would not be getting that extra commission. When I refused, the finance guy’s entire demeanor changed. Sadly, the manager left the dealership during our negotiations and left the finance guy holding the deal... who proceeded to shred the documents we had already signed.
WELLS AUTO GROUP: The vehicle was to be delivered on Monday or Tuesday of the following week... after the leak was repaired. YOUR representatives came up with that. Not me. We were disappointed that there was this UNDISCLOSED MAJOR PROBLEM that WE DISCOVERED... so we couldn’t drive it home for this reason and agreed to, a) have you deliver it, or b) salesperson offered to meet us halfway after the repair had been completed.
Now, WHY would we not just drive it home same day if the problem was only “low coolant” and you were only going to refill it with coolant? Why would anyone agree to a deal on any vehicle... especially an intricate German engineered vehicle... knowing that the dealer expected us to buy on the spot WITH a significant coolant leak? We wouldn’t. And we didn’t.
We had a two and a half hour drive home after this disaster. Plenty time to consider...
1) What if I were not an intelligent and informed buyer?
2) At what point did the dealership REALLY decide to be dishonorable? Before or after we showed photos of how significant the coolant leak is? Before or after we declined the warranty add-on of over $5k?
3) How many others have you sold a vehicle to KNOWING of significant problems?
4) How far down I-35 in the middle of the dark evening would we have driven before the vehicle completely stopped due to your negligence?
5) How many other customers will actually suffer the fate we would have... when the vehicle would surely have finally stopped on the side of the highway, dead due to an undisclosed major mechanical issue?
6) Does anyone in charge of this dealership have any integrity?
Buyer beware.

I worked with both Cameron and Brandon. Both of these people were absolutely amazing.
Cameron did a great job in getting us into the right car, and Brandon has been outstanding with maintaining contact, and ensuring we have anything and everything we need (post-sale).

Dealer Review:
I’d give half a star if I could. I am deeply disappointed by my experience with Texas Nissan in Grapevine. They are exactly why car dealerships have the reputation they do. First, there are bogus “non-negotiable” restoration fees tacked on to the advertised price of the car. I was upfront and honest from the get-go and got nothing but smoke and mirrors in return.
Isaiah in the finance department was snakey. I asked questions on every document I was asked to sign, was thorough in reading, (ya know, because this is a big decision and a considerable amount of money), and he brushed each of my questions and acted like I shouldn’t be taking the time to read the documents. I ended up catching mistakes on 2 documents that he had to fix and reprint. At this point, I’m not sure if they were actually mistakes or if he was trying to slip something by me.
When it came to warranty, I told him no 3 times. He kept pushing me, talking about how german cars are expensive to fix and how my car would be prone to break down during the warranty time period, definitely pressing me to the point to where I was second guessing my decision to not go with the warranty.
He asked if he took some off the price, if I would say yes. At this point, I knew I was going to be very upset with myself if I said no to warranty and something went wrong. I told him that getting up to the 16,000s in price scared me (I was paying for this car in cash and didn’t want to stretch my budget too thin). He said “okay, what if your all-in price was $15,900? Would you do it then?” And I said yes.
I financed the car to allow time for the money to move from my savings to my checking, and by the time my account was open and I was able to pay off the principal amount, I paid it off completely aside from the $100 deposit & $650 downpayment I had given the dealership.
After waiting almost a month for the $750 to be applied to my account so that I can close it out, I text Isaiah to get an update on what’s going on. He responds with a photo of paperwork (not signed by me) that says the all-in total price was $16,650.
I was initially encouraged by the sales person James, who worked with me and seemed awesome. However, after feeling like I’ve had one pulled over on me, I can firmly say I will not be doing business with Texas Nissan ever again. This has been an extremely upsetting experience, and I strongly recommend that everyone else stay away as well.

I called about a truck I found online. ZZ treated me like family and, was a upstanding and God fearing salesman, without over doing it. The truck was what I wanted. The buying process could not have went eaiser. No high pressure sales, no hiden fees. ZZ Young at Allen Samuels Direct, is now a trusted friend for life and i will always search him out for any vehicle purchase in the future.

Dealer Review:
On Apr 8, I put down a deposit on a Telluride, they already had the vin# and it was being delivered no later than April 15. April 15 comes, and the wrong cars were shipped to them. They said they would have it no later than 22nd guaranteed. Apr 22nd comes and goes, now due to covid all shipments are being delayed, the car is built but they can’t find someone to deliver it. On May 1st, they said they received the invoice for the car and that means it will be here soon (not sure why they guaranteed it 2-weeks earlier without having the invoice). I tell them I’m out of town for a week starting the following Wednesday. They said they hope to have it by Tuesday. Tuesday morning, I find out my income is dropping $700/mo due to Covid. I express my desire to postpone my purchase. They say they can defer payments for 45-days. I tell them ok, when the car comes in, I’ll come look at it. Of course, it comes in once I’m out of town. They ask if I still want it, I said they can open it up for sale and if it’s still there Monday or Tuesday I’ll come look at it. Well, congratulations for them they sold I within an hour. I was still leaning towards buying the car with the deferred payment, but I figure it’s a win-win and everyone would be happy. Well, I’m not happy. They won’t refund my $500 deposit. Nothing was said about me losing my deposit if they sell it to someone else. I understand if I walked away from the deal completely, they would keep my deposit. But I couldn’t buy the car before Monday no matter what, and they sold it in an hour. I’m very disappointed in the customer service at Classic Kia of Carrolton. At some point soon, I will be buying this car, but it won’t be at this dealership. Anyone company this petty over $500, where they lost nothing, is not a company I would recommended doing business with.

This is my first Cadillac after over a decade driving Mercedes-Benz C class. I drive on average 40,000 miles per year and typically buy a new car every other year (leasing is too expensive for that many miles). Compared to my last Mercedes (2012 C250 Sport) the ATS is more powerful, better handling and has better seats, at least in front. With the amount of miles I drive, a comfortable drivers seat is the first thing I look at, and the ATS seat is the best I've had yet with the possible exception of the 2005 C230 Sport sedan, which wasn't as adjustable, but was perhaps a slight bit better shaped, especially at the headrest.

The seat is extremely firm and very well bolstered. It also has an extendable thi support that really makes the difference (I extend mine outward one detent (it has three). The side bolsters and lumbar are inflatable and a lot smoother and better shaped than those in more recent C Class seats, though the 2005 again was just as good or better, though non adjustable for the side bolsters.

Ride matches the seats, very firm, but compliant. I prefer a stiff ride so long as it isn't punishing, and Cadillac has about the best balance in this car of anything I've ever owned. Recent Mercedes C Class is a bit smoother, but the ATS has sharper handling and steering.

Brakes are outstanding, with Brembo by Cadillac branded brakes up front and smaller disc brakes in the rear. I took a very twisty mountain road Thursday night and drove quite aggressively, but the brakes never faded, never squealed and always scrubbed off speed with serious authority. These brakes are far better than anything on any car I've ever owned, and equal to those on my friend's Porsche Cayman.

The interior styling is just beautiful. It has many traditional Cadillac styling cues with the slender vertical tail lights especially appealing, but everything is tidy, compact and modern. This is a Cadillac, but a youthful, enthusiast Cadillac. I love the way this car looks inside and out.

The CUE system is perhaps my only complaint. This system is totally touch-screen based which is very nice, pretty and functional, so long as the car is parked or you are in the passenger seat. It is awkward to use while driving, but fortunately most functions can be accessed by the steering wheel controls and the phone's mute button also works to mute the stereo. I liked the Comand System in the Mercedes better, but once you spend a bit of time and learn the steering wheel controls and voice activated access the system is less annoying, though still not ideal. I would much prefer old fashioned knobs and buttons, but it isn't a deal breaker.

The instruments are okay, nothing incredible. There is a three-section LCD at the bottom that is extremely useful, with each of the three sections configurable for anything from trip computer to navigation, fuel economy or diagnostics. The only real complaint I have is that the tachometer is pushed to the far left, and in aggressive driving can be obscured by the steering wheel or drivers hands. This would be a bigger problem in a manual transmission car, but on my automatic it isn't too bad.

The back seat is small, quite a bit tighter than my last C Class. I'm 5'9" and like to sit a bit further back than normal for my height when driving. I can still fit in the backseat behind my driving position, but foot and knee room is minimal. I could ride back there for an hour or three, but a longer trip wouldn't be comfortable. The backseat itself is terrific though, with great lower back and thigh support and the same firm padding as the front seats.

The interior is also very well trimmed in very nice leather, thick carpeting and real metal (aluminum in my car), wood or carbon fiber. Panel gaps are even and everything feels very well put together. The window sticker advertises a hand cut and sewn interior, and I believe it, with quality at least equal to my last 2012 Mercedes and better than the 2009 or 2005 that I owned previously, or my wife's Lexus for that matter.

Fuel economy is a bit disappointing so far. I've put just over 1,000 miles on the car in the week I've owned it and my last long drive (270 miles) returned 27 MPG. It was mostly highway driving at 80 to 85 MPH, but the C250 would return 30MPG on that same drive. Maybe it I'll improve as the car breaks in. City driving so far gives me just under 20MPG, where the C250 woud give 23. This car has only a 6 speed automatic compared to Mercedes' 7 speed, plus the car has a good 70 more horsepower, so I can't complain.

It's early days yet with the ATS, but so far, I'm impressed.

***UPDATE 18 months and 46,000 miles***
My mileage is far lower than usual for this much time, which is on account of the car spending a lot of time with the dealer. Currently in Lemon Law case.
