I showed up ready to negotiate to purchase the car. Before they even show you the car they want your credit card. I spent 20 mins answering stupid questions before they even showed me the car. Then they wouldn't let me drive it, but wanted to sit down and talk numbers. I said I'm not talking numbers without driving the car. The number they gave me was $4000 more than the advertised price. Calling it Dealer prep or some nonsense. When told them I was a cash buyer they wanted to tack on another $1000 for not financing through them. I walked out, went to another dearlership and bought another car two days later sold by professional car salesman with no bullcrap. Horrible place Stay away. Sales and support staff not wearing mask either During Covid!

Dealer Review:

Walked into this "dealership" and was immediately struck by how busy they were. There were a ton of sales people, most of whom were in jeans, short sleeve shirts and baseball hats. After waiting 10 mins I finally got to speak with a "salesman", more like an obvious [non-permissible content removed]. I told him I was there to look for a car for my daughter who wasn't with me. He asked if she was coming and I said no she wasn't. He asked me if I knew what I was looking for and I gave him a general idea. AWD, reliable, in my specified price range. I could tell he was annoyed but proceeded to look at his list of "over 700 cars". He settled on a car and told me he would go get it from his lot. 20 mins later he came back with a car that barely ran. At idol the car sounded like it was going to fall apart. He told me I could take it for a test drive but when I looked down at the gas gauge it showed empty with 000 miles left in the tank. That would have been one interesting test drive. I politely declined. Upon walking around the car I saw a clear spot on the paint where the car was obviously rusting underneath. I pointed it out to him and he goes "yeah, I just noticed that too". All the while he's showing no interest in really helping me. As I was leaving I got talking to another customer who happened to be looking for the same thing I was looking for. He told me he had first tried to go and walk their lot to see what they had available and was told he couldn't do that. He too waited 20 minutes to see one car and the car they brought down to him was a total clunker. Just like me, he walked out of there with no intention of coming back.

After hours of internet research, calling dealerships, and looking at vehicles I stumbled upon Jeff Kies Auto Sales. Many of the places I called within a 200 mile radius were very cold, uninformed and complicated. After speaking to Adam on the phone, I right away realized that I was dealing with people who were professional, courteous, and kind. For this reason I decided to make the 2 hour trip and cannot express how pleased I am. Their lot is organized beautifully according to year, make and model. Everything is clean and attractive. I got a kick out of their office area that had an antique gas pump and other neat decor. Adam made the entire car buying process seamless. He went above and beyond to answer all of my silly questions, prepare my vehicle and do the do all of the paperwork on the same day! It was a joy chit chatting with both Adam and his dad. Disappointing experience with online sales rep, sales associate, and sales manager. We spoke with the online sales rep three times today over the phone regarding the price of a vehicle and were told if we brought the listing to the dealership found on CarGurus that the “price would be honored”. After driving 75-minutes to the dealership we were told that individual we spoke with over the phone was the “online sales rep” and that another sales rep would be assisting us. The sales rep printed a sales quote to which we mentioned the previous conversation with the online sales rep whom stated the price that would be honored (about $1800 under MSRP). The other sales rep stated he would need to ask his manager to pull up the conversation with online sales rep to determine if this price was quoted. After a moment the sales manager inquired again about the price we were quoted, requested to see the CarGurus listing, and explained that he cannot sell the vehicle at that price and provided brief education about how CarGurus is a “third party site” and that the price could not be honored unless it was on the dealership’s website. The manager stated he wanted to work with us and offered us approximately $1000 off the MSRP. Despite whether CarGurus listing was accurate or not in regards to pricing, the sales manager and sales associate did not own the misrepresentation of their vehicle pricing by their online sales rep. Extremely disappointed in the lack of ownership and deception by this dealership. Additionally this dealership was deceptive in listing of fees; as the online sales rep listed additional fees over the phone the “sales commission” fee of $150 was not mentioned but was listed on both quotes received at the dealership. Ultimately we walked away because our only encounters with this dealership and their staff were accompanied with deception and misrepresentation.
