I bought a used car & complained at the closing an item / Dealer fee / $599.00 was improper. They would not remove it. I am in the complaint process with GA Dept of Law, Consumer Protection Unit , who on their website has a complete opinion regarding this ( all sales fees must be listed & a link to initiate the complaint process. I called Saturday morning to make sure the vehicle I was interested in was still available. The man I spoke to said he was with someone but would call me back in 10 minutes. After 45 minutes with no return call, I called back again. I spoke to Christian, who checked to see if the vehicle was available, and said it was. I told him I was driving pretty far (50 miles), that I was pre-qualified for financing, that I wanted to purchase the vehicle, and wanted to be certain the vehicle would be available if I drove that far. He said no problem, come on down. I told him I would be there in an hour and a half. I drove the 50 miles and arrived an hour and a half later, and they were in the process of selling the vehicle. But it’s not even that, Christian could have cared less. No apology, just “I don’t know what to tell you.” I reminded him how far I had driven to get there and that just an hour and a half before he had assured me the vehicle was available. He said “We have a deposit program,” which he at no time did he mention when I had called earlier, or I would have put a deposit down. I asked him why he couldn’t have just held it till Noon when I told him I would be there, he said people say all the time they are coming and don’t. I reminded him that I had told him earlier that I was pre-approved, which should have been an indication I was serious. Again “I don’t know what to tell you.” Christian is very cold and inconsiderate. Will not be back to this awful, unprofessional place.

Purchased my vehicle from the Independence Blvd location in Charlotte, NC on Sept 6th. On September 13th this vehicle required roadside assistance to have it jumped. The mechanic just laughed at how loose the battery was in the car and said it was a three year old battery.The next day the car wouldn't start and couldn't be jumped. I've been told now by CarMax that I should just buy a new battery because the next appointment to have it looked at isn't until next week and if the new battery doesn't work I would need to pay to have it towed back to CarMax and I'd be refunded later. I had a great and pleasant sales experience buying the car but I can't imagine going back or recommending CarMax to anyone if they can't simply take care of towing a customers car back and fixing the situation after only purchasing the vehicle less than TWO weeks ago. The salesman who sold me the car won't return calls, texts emails from me also.

Worked with Chris to purchase a vehicle which we love. We were promised they would purchase our vehicle at said price with the additional $1600 for a tax, tag, & title credit because we were doing a trade in. The state had our title messed up in which Daryl the manager said no worries they could still do the purchase of our current vehicle at said price no matter the time frame. We finally get the title cleared(the state had 420,000 miles vs 42k) a month later. We go to sign the paperwork and they can no longer do it as it's been to long(approximately 30 days we all know how the government works) even though Daryl and Chris both said it wouldn't be an issue but they forgot they said that. Needless to say they both lied and only wanted to sell the vehicle and not give us the additional tax, tag, title credit. This will be the last time we deal with them and I would recommend everyone stay away from these two. If they promise something make sure you get it in writing.
