They are not prepared for their appointments. Had appointment at 10 am got there a little before called when they opened asked for who I was told to and was told it's his day off. They had no idea what I was there for. Then wanted us to come in and sign in and then they would try to get someone to help. I asked for them to come out and was told they couldn't because coming in was their protocol. We drove a hour to get there and left without ever seeing the vehicle. Never going back.

I was shopping for the solar octane 4 Runner. I checked with a lot of dealerships… see bottom of review. A prompt email from Saeed Wehelie at Koons Arlington Toyota after making an inquiry on line. I had a 1 owner FJ that I was looking to possibly trade. I told Saeed I wasn’t in a hurry but would purchase 4Runner if it was the right deal. We did all the negotiating via text. I think that we both came out feeling good about deal… the way it should be. I put a 3K deposit on the one they had on order , never having set foot in the dealership. My husband was worried that we would drive an hour and they would change the deal in person . I reassured him that I felt very confident in the dealership (gut feeling) and my interaction. The deal was just as expected… it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. We drove up in my yellow FJ and drove back in my Solar Octane 4Runner. They were professional, polite, attentive and I could not recommend Saeed enough. Others should learn from them. I know this is a long review.. sorry.. but given there is a shortage of many vehicles I was amazed at the number of dealerships that acted like they didn’t care if they got my business or not. Even though I had a car to trade in … giving them more inventory. If I had not found Saeed I would have been more than happy to keep driving my FJ. My local dealership ( where I bought my fj 16 years ago) offered to order one for me a week earlier… when I started looking for a possible new car …but I was very turned off by their laughing at how much they were going to charge me above Msrp. The Sales manager didn’t act like they cared or really wanted my business .. just my gut feeling. They Felt had hot item and just acted like I shouldn’t question and I was wasting their time. Nope! Another Toyota dealership in midlothian had the car but, not sure if it was because I was a woman, but salesmen spoke over me repeatedly and inferred I was stupid. Told me it wasn’t the same car as the one I was looking at in Nova because it wasn’t from priority Toyota w/ their backing. He was so belittling I should have hung up on him. Have told everyone I know how Rude and NOT TO DEAL WITH THEM. So definitely not them. I HAVE told ALL my friends and family that the drive is more than worthwhile to be treated right. I have always found and negotiated all of my immediate family’s cars. Will be the first place I look when helping my family shop in future. Both kids soon due for new vehicles. There are still salesmen and dealerships that get word of mouth and service is important. Thank you! Nicole PS .. People have different expierence at different businesses so people may take their own judgment after having their own encounter and that encounter may not apply to others but these giants needs to be accountable to some extent to working people like me when they do not illegal but immorale things. Now i was given an offer and the F&I and sales managers tried to walk back from this offer the minute they learnt that i am doing my own financing by giving me lame excuses like they wont hold the car for few hours until i bring the check from the lender even when i offered to pay $11K to show i am serious and that i am not going to disappear and make them lose other potential customers. I am venting here because the model is rare and hard to find. And because they couldnt say i cant buy a car with my own financing they were giving me stuipd excuses. After making me go through the whole process of getting the finance which i let them know before hand they called and said they are selling the car. All i wanted was honesty, if they had told me because they are not screwing me with the financing that they dont want to sell the car to and i would understand because they are there to make money. But after making me go through all the financing part, test driving, running my credit and making me fill all sort of forms it is unethical and a greedy way of doing business to say we are selling the car to another customer because they finance through them. NEVER EVER GOING BACK TO ANY KOONS STORE EVEN IF THEY SELL A CAR FOR FREE!!!!!!!
