Went to see a car that was advertised online for $7400 when I get there although I called prior to going the car sticker price was $10,000 I discussed that and they stated I would get the car for what was advertised. I came with cash for purchase when I was given the final price after tax and all the gps equipment and other extra fees they added the car somehow still ended up 10,000 I was told the advertised price is what they purchase the car from the bank for and the sticker price is the actual price. They added on a GPS charge for $685 that they said I MUST pay taxes etc another $900 the price didn’t add up when I decided to leave they said they would work with me what was I willing to pay instated the advertised price that i saw online when the “Manager” came back they still tried to sell me the vehicle for 10,000 what was changed from the other two men who told me 10,000 NOTHING these ppl are [non-permissible content removed] buyers be ware they get you in and rip you OFF!

Firstly, I've never written a compliant like this before. So, for those that dismiss bad reviews because "some people are just complainers", you'll soon discover. On to the review - Just Beware! If you're a long time internet buyer like me, stay away. After having a delightful conversation with the "internet person" about a fair price (mutually agreed) for a used vehicle and encouragement to drive 50+ miles, whole thing went down hill. Was passed off to a "salesman". He was a really nice guy and I don't fault him. Needless to say, besides the nice sales guy, the whole thing was the joke. The CPO car was anything BUT CPO standards. No detailing, lots of mods on the SUV (a jeep). Ripped out carpet that wasn't fixed. Aftermarket lighting kit that had obviously been removed (switches but no lights, holes in bumper, other lights that didn't work). Fluids were low (or gone). Random screws were in the cup holders. Given the vehicle was hardly at CPO standards, I downwardly altered my offer (from the earlier discussions - which BTW, we never saw the "internet" person again). Of course, then comes the 4 box game (I was a cash buyer). Then they come back with base selling price of the vehicle higher than what I'd spoken to the internet person about. And here's where it really gets good. On top of the higher than expected base price, they add ~$2,500 on top. If they think for a minute, adding ~10% to the price of a vehicle BEFORE tax is honest, than I'd hate to see dishonestly. I get that dealers are still playing games with used cars, but the whole thing was just a joke. I WOULD NEVER SHOP HERE!! Also, I understand Edmunds is a business too, but with all the honesty, transparency language, this experience was completely unacceptable. Makes me think the industry (after coming so far), is back to the old garbage of bait and switch.

Dealer Review:

The vehicle was ready when we got there for our appointment. Sales rep was friendly and helpful. Test drive went well. After that, things went downhill. They couldn't find the financing info I had done online ahead of time. After finally locating that, they went over the cost of the vehicle, including the $2500 they added to the price posted online! They claimed it was for "dealer options", including clear coat and two other items that we didn't ask for nor want. After speaking with three different employees about it, they claimed it was in order to get people in because of Covid19. They showed us in the small print at the bottom of the posting, there was an asterisk, saying the price may include "dealer selected options". They refused to remove the added on $2500, even after much discussion as to how it was "bait and switch." Sadly, we left without the vehicle we wanted, only because we felt we couldn't trust a dealer that tacked on $2500 in invisible "options" after they had us in the store!
