Dealer Review:

NEVER BUY USED FROM THIS DEALER!! Who ever they have performing repairs cuts corners and doesn't know how to put an Audi back together, properly. The more I dive into fixing the issues below, the more I'm disappointed with what I find as an attempted fix or backyard mechanic craziness. Bought a used Audi SUV, this was my first AUDI. I knew little about the product. Didn't know AUDI's had as many bells & whistles as they do. Guess who uses that in their favor....the sales department. The sales team used the tactic of "we have another buyer so you better buy it now". That's the first time I've had that used on me which struck me as odd. People told me go to a dealership, they are better in many ways vs. smaller dealers, not sure how I feel about that now. As an example, AFTER I signed on the dotted line the salesperson walks me outside to show me this really cool feature with the door handles lock/unlock feature. The DRIVER, PASSENGER & RIGHT REAR door handles didn't work during this presentation. I didn't know any better and didn't think much of it at the time. I bought my own scan tool and scanned the AUDI on my own. 12 FAULT CODES were active!!! Guess what a few fault codes were associated with....yup, DRIVER, PASSENGER & RIGHT REAR door handles not working, along with countless others. I was advised that their shop scan tool must have missed those codes. A $1000+ scan tool missed what my $80 scan tool found? Hmm, doesn't sound right. Sad part is, this vehicle was formally owned by the owner before I bought it. The owner was kind enough to pay for some of my time, but these issues were never fixed. Still a problem to this day that I'm troubleshooting. I suggest having any USED vehicle from this dealer looked at with a fine-tooth comb before purchase. A "legit" dealer takes care of their vehicles & customers. I would expect this from "National Lampoons Vacation" car salesperson. I'll never buy or recommend others buy from this dealership in the future. In the end, was quite sad how the sales department reacted to my request for refund for warranty & GAP insurance. Hagglers to say the least regarding that. On a positive note, I got a nice rig that's been serving me well. Not difficult to work on at all, but the sales team will push you hard that AUDI's should only be looked at by a dealership. If I could do it over again, I'd waited for an S-Line model to arrive vs. being pushed into something the sales team wanted me in. The sales team will seriously tell you "anything" you want to hear to make that sale. Again, I'd expect that from a small dealer, not a higher-end dealer.

BAIT & SWITCH!!! I found a vehicle I was interest in online priced at $11,911 using Autotrader and also on the Konkin website. I submitted a TrueCar request and received an offer back for $200 less. I called Konkin and talked to Dennis who answered some questions and quoted me a price to ship the vehicle to NV. Dennis suggested I place a deposit on the car to hold it for a few days while I scheduled a local mechanic to do an inspection prior to having the vehicle shipped. I placed a $300 deposit and my credit card was charged. About 30 min later, I received a call from Dennis informing me that the owner didn't realize what mode the car was and the price would now be $18,000! I've worked in retail for 22 years and this is an illegal business practice. I asked Dennis if they'd a least meet me halfway on the price this this was their error and I'd already reserved the car at the advertised price. I was told no, and then offered to have my deposit refunded. They also informed me there would be a transaction fee at the time of my deposit, however they didn't refund the fee when they credited back the deposit so I actually lost money in this shady transaction. Be extremely careful dealing with this company.
