2010 Chevrolet HHR
Trim Not Listed in Edmund's dropdown dumbown.
2LT (running boards, rack, e-options), 2.2l Flexfuel Automatic, (not edmdumb's M5 dropdown).
E85 fuel boosts power/performance, but mpg lags from regular. 89 octane is best, or blended at 20%.
I bought this GM Certified from a Dealership;
formerly a Hertz rental with 14K miles on it.
Nimble, economical, safe, versatile 'retro' 2wd wagon.
Low … profile tires, average ride quality, good handling FWD.
OK handling in snow;
very low first gear; great for slow trawling in traffic.
Removed rear headrests for better rear view; narrow view and limited rear wiper clearing.
2LT has OnStar, Bluetooth, Sirius radio, on-board plug-ins, compass, temp.
With front passenger seat folded forward and rear seats down, a flat-space sleeper.
Could use a sunroof- outside vents let in heated air off hood.
Located a factory hard-plastic rear privacy cover in scrapyard. Secure, but spare "donut" and jack, etc. buried under cargo storage tray(s) in rear.
Headlight bulb replacement is a technical task.
If the battery dies, no access to battery under the rear cargo deck (electric rear hatch release).
Under hood there's a module for charging to open rear door.
Replaced trans fluid at 95K, not a DYI; a performance boost!
There is a very comprehensive HHR blog space.
Ongoing issues with electronic dash system; "air bag service". Replaced key fob and "ESC service" light closed.
Approaching 110 K miles, replaced suspension components/tires; performance still very good with 21/27/23 mpg.
