Reliable, safe AWD Vehicle

2012 Toyota Venza XLE 4dr Wagon AWD (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

This is an extremely comfortable, reliable, safe
AWD SUV that handles well in snow and on the highway. Shopped against two upscale models (Lexus RX350 and Audi Q7) but I didn't feel that the price differential ($10,000 to $15,000 or more) justified the "prestige" of these brands. Closest competitor in price is the Ford Edge, but fit and finish of the Venza seemed better as did the handling and acceleration based upon test drives (admittedly not a full test of driving dynamics).

Best Features

AWD handling in winter conditions, comfort of seating, all the airbags and other safety features of this vehicle. It feels very secure. V6 engine has good acceleration, transmission is excellent - a Toyota strength. Premium sound system is excellent.

Worst Features

Would like turn signals on side mirrors. Visibility to the rear right, for lane changes, could be better but this seems an issue on competitive vehicles as well (RX350, Audi Q7, Ford Edge).
