lots and lots of problems

Vehicle2011 Toyota Venza 4dr Wagon AWD (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
ReviewWe purchased our 2011 Venza new and have had it now for six and a half years and 65K miles
We had continual problems with the alarm going off for no reason. That was finally resolved after 6-7 repair visits--one overnight.
On and off the steering makes a whining or creaking sound.
Recently the sun visor on the driver's side broke--it wouldn't stay up or down, just mid-way where it obstructed the front view. Recently, the visor on the passenger's side broke--it wouldn't stay up or down, just hang midway blocking view.
The CD player no longer works. A CD is stuck in the unit. Toyota said they have to replace the whole audio system!
The paint on the front bumper is coming off.
The clear plastic covers on the headlights have fogged over
The mileage is not quite what Toyota claimed--we get about 21-23 on the highway.
For a vehicle that had a sticker price of $40k, it's definitely a disappointment. It has lost lots of value--it's now only worth around $8K
The ride is average.
They don't make Venza anymore and I think that may have affected the resale value. Judging by various resale valuations, it has lost significant value.
The seam on the driver's leather seat has opened
The clips on the engine air filter are broken
The glove compartment is misaligned
- Road holding
- Repair frequency
- Purchase cost
- Fuel economy
- Resale value
