2001 Toyota Tacoma 4dr Double Cab PreRunner V6 2WD SB (3.4L 6cyl 4A)

I've owned this truck for 6 years. it has 230,000 miles and it still runs great. no big problems just had to change the cat converters. and the struts and rear shocks. kind of a stiff ride but it's a truck. mileage is ok. could be better. i love this truck and would recommend it to anyone.

Best Features

Love the v6 and trd package look. off roading, optional

Worst Features

gas mileage.

10 yrs old, 228,000+ miles. Water pump went out at 70,000 miles, and again at 105,000. Mechanic didn't know why, changed out the second time with only labor charge, no problems since. Just freak occurance I guess. Other than that, no problems mechanically. Does have hole worn in drivers' seat backrest. Reliable as an anvil, handles great, strong brakes, gas mileage as advertised (16/20). Ride is rough, but I rode in a 2009 model, much better. Fantastic truck, plan to keep it for another 10 yrs.
