Great Truck

The T-100 is an overall great truck. I have no complaints. Never had anything go wrong at all. Oil changes and tire rotations are all you really need to do. Very smooth ride, quiet engine, stylish look. The acceleration off the go could be a little better, which is the case with the 4Runner as well. My only gripe is that the interior is bland, which is the case with most Toyotas. Due to the fact that gas is now $5 per gallon, I'm selling the T-100 to purchase a Camry. I have to say that I am so damn upset about this. The T-100 gets good gas mileage for a truck, but not as good as a commuter car. Gotta do it.

I bought my truck new, it had 2.5 miles on it; probably putting it on and taking it off the ship from Japan. All 271,996.5 miles are MINE. This is a great truck, the best vehicle I have ever owned, no complaints. I have replaced the clutch; taught my wife to drive a standard. Currently in the process of having the interior restored, new carpet and door upholstery. Good for another 272k!!

My 1998 has 190,000 miles on it and it's just getting broken in. I have kept up the maintenance on it and have even given it a face lift with a new interior and after market CD/Satellite audio system. Finding some parts is getting a little difficult to find but so far the substitutes have worked out well. Car clear coat is breaking down since this vehicle has never been garaged. Getting ready to do my 4th timing belt and the parts that go with it. The only out of ordinary thing I have had to replace is 3 starters. Other than that I would call the rest routine maintenance. Update: OK, have almost 193K miles. Needed new plugs/wires ($60). Replaced throttle sensor ($40). Looking to replace tires, battery, and timing belt to the tune of about $2000. So do I put $2K in a truck that is only worth $2K? Well, it's not a five year monthly payment at about $550/month. Might do it just to see if I can get $3000-$4000 on the market. I sold the truck "as is" for $3500 with 195,000 miles. Told the new owner when to change the timing belt and approx cost. Sorry to see it go. It was on the market locally for all of 1 hour. First person that saw it bought it 4 hours later with cash. So I bought another Toyota truck! 2020 Tacoma 4x4 Sport. Took me about a week to learn all the bells and whistles, but looks to be a darn fine truck. See you again in 2043.

I purchased my T100 from an indivdual who obviously took really good care of this truck. My truck now has 256,000+ mile and it still runs like new. The 6 cylinder engine is very strong, transmission is smooth and a really quiet ride. It's the perfect size truck for me. I have towed boats, trailers, and even other vehicles with my truck. It has never let me down. I am very pleased with my T100.

Bought my T-100 new in Jan 97. Best truck I have ever owned, got 120,000 and have only replaced the starter, ($120.00) Only tuned up once and still runs like a dream. Don't know much about the Tundra, but if it is half the truck this is they have got a winner.
