Vehicle2011 Toyota Sienna Limited 7-Passenger 4dr Minivan AWD (3.5L 6cyl 6A)
ReviewWe have 5 kids and this is our 3rd minivan. This is not the "Perfect" minivan in the world, but it is gosh darn close. It seems like the accountants stepped in at the last minute and prevented Toyota's engineers from making this a benchmark vehicle. The ride is very compliant and it handles the typical curvy mountain roads just fine without feeling to floaty or tipsy like many other minivans. My biggest complaint is that the steering feel is way too light and provides almost zero feedback in the Limited with AWD trim. I don't expect a BMW driving experience from a minivan, but I expect the steering to have more feel than a 1980's Lincoln Town Car. The acceleration and braking are great.
Best FeaturesThe front and rear parking aides are nice, but why couldn't Toyota include the side view parking cameras like what is found on BMW and Infiniti models? The kids really like the dual sunroofs, but it really kills the rear seat headroom. So if you expect tall rear seat passengers, test drive it first.
Worst FeaturesFor a brand new 2011 model, it would have been nice to see: LED interior lighting, more steering feel or adjustable steering on the upper trim level models, more rear seat headroom or to allow the rear seat to slide back for more legroom, better fuel economy with an efficient diesel engine option.
