2011 Toyota Sienna LE 8-Passenger 4dr Minivan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

Review

After 3 Ford and 1 Toyota mini-vans, here is what I think about the Sienna. First of all the $2300 down and 299/mo lease promo with 24 mo free maintenance is crazy cheap. As cheap as the numbers for my previous Sienna w 0% 48 mo (minus what it is worth afterwords). The Sienna drives different then my wives Sienna as the all electric steering seems to not be as nimble in the parking lot, but I was on some back rds in Texas yesterday and that steering was tight, easy and very accurate, all the windows are now auto down, the 4 whl dsc and traction control are std, new knee airbag makes the steering wheel not come down as far..but adj and drv seat works for me.

Best Features

Electric Steering 6 speed trans with auto/manual shifter Dual auto side doors in LE Blue-tooth audio and phone Michelin tires standard Standard sun shade on all back windows 6 speed transmission -w manual override

Worst Features

Put usb/aux audio jack in inside console

2011 Toyota Sienna SE 8-Passenger 4dr Minivan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

Review

We avoided the 'minivan' like none other. But after going to the auto show we narrowed it down to either the Buick Enclave or the Sienna SE. This was as we wanted a car with three rows so as to be able to get back to the kids as well as take the grandparents. We test drove the Sienna SE 'Swagger Wagon' the day after the show, and ending up buying the day after. This is the first minivan that actually turned my head due to styling, and you just can't beat Toyo reliability vs unknown GM reliability (imo). So far, only having it for a week, we are really enjoying it. I love the styling in and out, rides great on the 19" low profile tires, and has tight steering and feel.

Best Features

Bluetooth Streaming Audio. Styling (In and Out) The versatility of this thing

Worst Features

MPG of course. But it's in average range with cars of its size.

2011 Toyota Sienna XLE 8-Passenger 4dr Minivan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

Review

IMHO this is the nicest-looking 2011 minivan. The front end is much more attractive than gen-2 and rear-end design (especially the taillights) is an outstanding improvement. Meanwhile successive Odyssey redesigns have become quirkier/weirder. (Did a bolt of lightning strike the rear section, causing it to sag?) Our third minivan - It is much quieter, roomier and has far more driver legroom and seat comfort than '02 Odyssey EX-L. Center console intrudes far less than '07 Entourage GLS-L. Gas mileage is significantly better than either. It handles well, very stable in cross-winds and has ample power. AND... Our ownership experience has proven Toyota to have the highest reliability .

Best Features

Silky-smooth flawless transmission shifting and quiet ride. Luxury-car feel. Open, airy cabin. Pleasing and functional dash layout. Bluetooth wireless audio streaming from iPhone. Generous driver legroom. Ease of entry (large seat to roof opening distance). Great gas mileage (for a mini-van).

Worst Features

Several relatively minor niggles: Why an old-fashioned antenna? - Satellite radio fade is similar to my '10 Prius with mini antenna. Auto-on HID headlights should be included on XLE. Relatively cheap-looking, un-padded plastic dash (Do North Americans really want fake wood? - None that I know!)

2011 Toyota Sienna Limited 7-Passenger 4dr Minivan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

Review

This is our 3rd Sienna. Always liked the solid quality of these cars. New interior panels are very hard and cheap looking. My wife loves all the convenience gadgets. But.. the sliding doors are starting to stick and the power steering is making a strange crunching noise. Took it to the dealer. Yes, Toyota is aware of these things. There is no fix. Now, some of the electronics seem to be intermittently failing. It is amazing to me that these things are happening if Toyota had tested them out before releasing production. Last model was higher quality.

Best Features

Second row reclining seats with the DVD player. Wow.For a van, quite a bit of power to the road. Very quiet and good ride.

Worst Features

Go back to the old interior panels. Solve the mystery noises in the doors and engine.

2011 Toyota Sienna Limited 7-Passenger 4dr Minivan (3.5L 6cyl 6A)

Review

We just purchased a new 2011 Sienna Limited with Advanced Tech Pkg. Previous vehicle was gas-guzzling Lexus SUV. We really like all the options and technology it has to offer. Drove the 2011 Odyssey but for the $ we could get a lot more Sienna and a great family hauler that is noticeably quieter. The driver's seat could use some work with the headrest. At 6'3" I find it difficult to get comfortable and Toyota made a huge mistake with that awful faux wood on the dash.

Best Features

Technology! Stream Bluetooth music from IPhone direct through minivan speakers. Ride & handling. Quiet and smooth for a minivan.

Worst Features

The headrest only moves up and down making it difficult to find a comfortable position. Whomever approved the faux wood on the dash should be fired from Toyota. Horrible doesn't adequately describe that interior mistake for a vehicle costing north of $41k.
