Used 2003 Toyota Sequoia Consumer Reviews
A Big (pleasant) Surprise
On the outside this SUV can look big but once inside and behind the whell it feels like a car. It does not even compare with any other, its in a class by itself. I was most surprised by how incredibly quiet this SUV is. It has the feel of a Lexus in quietness.
An SUV to Keep
We just bought one and it is great if you have a large family and are towing a boat. We love the interior space and the dvd is great for long trips. it accelerates very well andhandles nicely.

Great Buy, Great Value
Incredible horsepower, great family interior layout, comfortable seating, plenty of leg room, easy to remove and hange seating, economical fuel. Most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned, I made a great choice.
Finally, an SUV we can count on
Traded unreliable 98 Mercedes ML320 on the Sequoia. Nimble for its size. Great steering feel except at high speeds or heavy loads, where it's a bit too light. Smooth, controlled ride. Huge, quiet interior. 3rd row seat is comfortable. Excellent build quality, but interior look is plain. Perfect paint job. We get 16 mpg; regular gas is fine. Transmission shifts are jerky before it warms up, and when downshifting in corners. Middle seats fold, but can't be removed. Stereo is just OK. Off road it's good; if you turn off VSC. Nice driving position, but the front seats become uncomfortable after 2-3 hours due to poor lower back support.
unresolved problems
The folks at Toyota should wear masks. They're robbing people on this truck. The interior is all plastic and cheap looking, I've already had several problems with the roof/headliner area that are still not fixed, the climate control system has a mind of its own and lastly THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE DEALER UP TO THE CORPORATE OFFICE IS ABOMINABLE. Do yourself a favor and spend your money more wisely than I did.
