2004 Toyota RAV4 SUV AWD 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 5M)

Review

Excellent vehicle, extreme reliability is what Toyota is known for and the 04 Rav4 does not disappoint. 109,000 miles so far and the vehicle is just as sturdy and tight as the day I brought it home with 12 miles on the odo. I changed the Fan belt at , 52,000 and the brakes at 100,000 miles and thats it , still has the factory headlight bulbs, Toyota's durability really shines through in these vehicles. Its amazing, no rattles and little noises etc. after 109.000 miles. The seats have just been broken in , feel a lot more comfy now than when they were new. The styling is all Toyota, laid back and not flashy.

Best Features

The Engine and transmission, the awesome JBL stereo, the removability of the seals for more cargo room, the quality of the material, quality of construction, fit and finish. The dash layout the lighting of the interior, the quality of the carpeting, the firm tight feel of the steering like a eur car

Worst Features

The subsequent models have answered the problem, more room in back, a bigger quieter engine, now lets see if they will be as durable , reliable and tightly built as the 2004 model were.

Vehicle

2004 Toyota RAV4 SUV AWD 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 5M)

Review

Vehicle has far exceeded our expectations. I have found this fun to drive and it has excellent cargo space and the side opening makes loading less stressful. I find the driver's seat not deep enough thus doesn't provide adequate leg support.

Best Features

The AWD is a dream in the winter.

Worst Features

Deeper front seats.

2004 Toyota RAV4 SUV Fwd 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 5M)

Review

So far, this has been the best vehicle I've ever owned for several reasons. I got rid of a Jeep Liberty for the RAV4 and now I have confidence about easily getting at least 200,000 miles. The engine build is real quality. Nothing beats RAV4 in its class and the proof comes from owning it. Way to go Toyota!

Best Features

Handling, auality of the engine, audio controls on the steering wheel, interior and exterior styling. I get a lot of people complimenting on how they like the RAV.

Worst Features

The back door swings to the side. It's like that on the newest models too. That's the only thing I don't like.

2004 Toyota RAV4 SUV Fwd 4dr SUV (2.4L 4cyl 5M)

Review

This is the best vehicle I've owned hands down. After owning Jeep, Dodge, and Ford vehicles, I opted for this Rav4 and couldn't be happier. It handles well and after careful examination of the engine components, it is clearly better built than Jeep Liberty. Plus the Rav isn't nearly as thirsty at the pump as the Liberty.

Best Features

Engine 2.4 VVTi, manuverability, fuel economy, handling, reliability, build quality, interior trim

Worst Features

The rear door opens to the side instead of up straight up over you
