Exceeded my expectations
My driving consists of 60% city and 40% highway. My average mileage is continuously above 40MPG. If you are looking for a well equipped hybrid with plenty of cargo space check out a RAV4 Hybrid.

RAV4
Liked its acceleration, gas mileage, user friendly infotainment cotrols, roominess, and predicted reliability. Didnt like its high price, along with dealer markups. The cabin is slightly noisey. Mileage dropped from 40 to 38mpg irreguardless of driving habits.

We Love This Car
Sold my old CR-V and bought this 2023 Rav-4 XLE Hybrid. Amazing car. We love all of the safety features. The Apple Car Play software has worked great. No USB wires to deal with. This is a very quiet car. The motor rumble that some complain about is barely noticeable. The hybrid at 219 horsepower engine makes acceleration to highway speeds a snap. Of course the mpg is as advertised. I get about 38 mpg in city (Seattle is very hilly) and about 40 mpg on the highway. Finally, I have never owned anything but an AWD car. This car is no exception and it works great in the snow. PS, we bought our Rav-4 in the Lunar Rock color so we named her “Luna”. Love it!

I LOVE IT!!
I absolutely love my rav 4 prime. Love the gas mileage. Since I mostly drive under 40 miles a day, able to drive on battery only, most days. Last fill, due to many days using no gas, worked out to 89.1 mpg. Battery gives me 45 miles per charge. Car is very comfortable, excellerates fast, handles great on the windy mountain roads I drive daily. I have no complaints about this car. Its also the prettiest car Ive ever owned!! Owned three 4Runners, 1 Camry and 1 Coralla over the years. Love all my Toyotas. Drove them all over 200k miles before selling them and buying a new one. Never in the shop for anything except regular maintenance. Very reliable.

Smooth ride with nice features
Finally got my new 2023 Toyota hybrid Premium RAV4 in July. It’s a smooth ride with nice features and great gas mileage. I initially had rated it 1-star due to my new car having a fuel tank capacity issue (tank would not fill up all the way), but Toyota was able to fix the issue (entire tank had to be replaced due to a defect), so I have updated my review to 5 stars. Now that the tank has been replaced, my fuel capacity shows 540 miles till empty. Other than having to deal with the gas tank capacity issue, the car has been great. Love not having to pay so much for gas.

2023 RAV4, XSE, and I'm still amazed!
I bought my XSE Hybrid earlier this year, around April. I got a great deal on it, considering the options this SUV came with, especially the JBL stereo with that huge screen. I get ridiculous fuel mileage, beyond 50 city driving, highway around 45! The comfort is quite good, referring to the seats and leg/headroom. In some of the reviews I've read, people have complained about the interior road noise. I have noticed no excessive noise whatsoever, unless it's because they purchased the base models? Maybe the tires making it loud? I don't know, mine came with Michelins. My XSE hybrid is very quiet, without even a rattle. Performance accelerating is impressive, instantaneous. The hybrid versions of the RAV4 is quite a bit faster than the "gas-only" versions. I know, I've owned both. I'm not saying the "gas-only" version is a slouch, it's certainly not. The handling of the XSE RAV4 is decent for a SUV, with very little lean around faster turns. I have always liked the RAV4, but the hybrid system adds the cherry on top!

A top performing beautiful sporty SUV
We were lucky to find our 2023 RAV4 Xse hybrid on the lot. Someone had abandoned their order. It is a sharp RAV4 with black glossy accents over the wheels and both ends. The acceleration is impressive, as is the mileage…we are currently averaging 42 MPG. Ww love the Apple CarPlay feature on our 10.5 inch screen. The mapping is impressive, realistic. Lots of electronic features, a comfortable ride, beautiful blue stitching throughout and plenty of cargo room. Love it.

the 2022 was great, the new 2023 not so much
Had a 22 LE Hybrid, great car, silky smooth drivetrain....just no options. Got a 2023 XSE Hybrid and while it has all the options, the drivetrain is rough. Any transition from electric to ICE causes a jerking in the car. Like driving an old car with a U-joint out. Dealer will do nothing (says this is normal). My 3rd hybrid and I know this is not normal. Won't keep this car long unless I can find a dealer that will figure out what is wrong. Dealer still says nothing wrong….but they don’t even try to figure it out.

Worth the wait! Preorder now!
I have always been very practical in my choice of vehicles, therefore I don’t really get really nice stuff. I look for gas mileage practical seating and use as well as good turning radius. For the first time in my life at age 54, I have a vehicle that I’m excited about and got all of that other great stuff too! Incredible MPG is exceeded what I was told to expect by 3 per gallon. The comfort and everything is great! I am a big fan of Toyota products and I’ve always had great luck with them, I look forward to many years of driving this one!
Rav4 hybrid
I like the way It drives and is comfortable but gas mileage is not as good as hoping I drive mostly hiway about 70% averaging about 33mpg at 75mph It is much better when in town I can get 38 to 40 when staying 35 to 45mph but it is fun to drive peppy and turning is great but I am coming from driving a full size truck I really like all the safety features sensors to worn you when you get close to something and how close you are

It’s ok, but I miss my Camry!
I bought a 2019 Camry XSE brand new in 2019. All the fancy add ons. I loved my car. Got a job working in Florida. Made a couple 5 hour trips in the Camry. Still had a quarter of a tank of gas once I arrived at my destination. Due to some unfortunate events, I was basically forced to trade it in while it still held its value. Being there is a limited selection of vehicles at dealerships in my area, I settled for the 2023 RAV4 SE Hybrid. I’ve made one trip to Florida so far in it. I had to stop about 45 minutes from my destination to fill it up. However, it did cost less to fill up than my Camry. Camry was about $42-$45. RAV was only $30. So not sure if the tank is smaller and holds less, but seems either the mileage isn’t as good or I will be having to fill up more frequently. So I guess it all evens out in the end. This is my first Hybrid so the shifting while breaking to charge the “battery” part is a little new and strange to me. There is some noise like other reviews talk about. Strange noise in reverse and a slight whistling on acceleration. Just weird to me. Not used to it. Also do not like being unable to see the RPMs. In the past I’ve had a few Nissans and I knew the transmissions were trash and could always tell when they were getting ready to start giving me problems because of the RPM gauge. So I’m a little uneasy about this vehicle not having that. I stuck with Nissan for years due to the luxury look not only outside, but inside as well. The comfort was absolutely there in my Maxima. Unfortunately, Nissan seems to put all their effort into the look and feel of the vehicle instead of the mechanical components that truly matter. Also with the RAV, sitting while parked it gives that little jump when it switches from battery to gas mode. Seems sketchy but again, first Hybrid vehicle so I guess it will take some getting used to. Due to pricing, I had to sacrifice my leather seats and panoramic roof which I’m not thrilled about. But small price to pay I guess to still have a reliable vehicle. Overall it’s ok. Inside is a little plain but the outside is beautiful. The 2023 does have a smoother ride than the 2019-2022 RAV models I’ve test driven in the past so that’s a plus. As long as it lasts me and doesn’t give me any problems to deal with and holds up next to the Camry, I’ll be satisfied. I also like how it is a little taller, easy to navigate through slightly flooded lower lying streets without worrying about being swept away and I no longer have to worry about parking and getting the front bumper ripped off by parking curbs. Camry 10/10, RAV 7/10 so far. Guess we will see how the gas mileage turns out once I’ve made a few more trips in it. Don’t let me down Toyota!

So far a great ride
I just took possession of it and have driven it only a bit but I am enjoying this car. It has a smooth ride, lots of bells and whistles, and it saves on gas.
Great mileage, No headroom, Android Auto problems
Great mileage... Getting about 38 MPG in the summer and 32 MPG in the winter. No headroom with moon roof. I'm 6'3" and have trouble fitting my hand between my head and the headliner. Concerned I will likely get hurt in a collission. Also, the headrests push your head forward whuch causes cronic neck pain. Considering a complaint to the NTSB concerning the headrest. It's a real problem noted in all the forums. Wireless Android Auto is a great feature except that it regularly disconnects in certain places and requires a 5 step manual procedure to re-enable Android Auto. Very annoying, especially if it lose connection at a critic turn during navigation. Moonroof does not close automatically when car is shutoff. Have left it open a couples times by accident. Would have liked a plug-in option, but not worth $11K more for a Prime (plus the cost of installing a home charger). All around, not a bad car for a smaller person.

Complex radio but love the car
XLE Premium Hybrid with the larger screen upgraded JBL sound system. We are having a difficult time figuring out the new sound system and so far IRA Toyota has been less than helpful. Struggling with Apple CarPlay and switching between functions. Way more complicated than it needs to be. Also having a hard time adding my Wife’s phone. Otherwise loving the quiet comfort of the interior and the pseudo leather upholstery. Already seeing in excess of 40 MPG with under 1,000 miles on the odometer. Already looking forward to a cross country road trip next summer (and it’s late November).

Toyotas biggest blunder
I purchased my RAV4 Hybrid Woodland in October, 2023. It has been nothing but a headache and Toyota could not be less helpful. The car was built with such poor quality in already trying to get rid of the car. Headliner rattle, dashboard squeak, steering wheel buzz, rear storage rattle, visor rattle, plastic panels and handles popping off, wheel squeaks. This car has zero interior quality. I’m surprised I could hear any of the noises as the cabin volume is also terrible on this car. Going over 70? Get ear plugs. The Toyota case managers are of zero help. I’ve had a case open for 6 or 7 weeks now and NOTHING has been done. I literally mean nothing. My case manager made all sorts of promises and never did any of them. Their supervisor was equally unhelpful. I had to find an executives email and send them a letter directly asking for help. Now the “executive team” is helping me. But the dealerships have no idea what’s going on. Not surprising since I’ve been to two dealers so far and one couldn’t diagnose any issues but drove my car recklessly. The other could diagnose the noises, but “forgot” to change my oil, which I didn’t find out about till 5000 miles later, then they also damaged my headliner and wheel and drove my car 55 miles to a shop who could help because they couldn’t fix the issues themselves. I’m very disappointed with my Toyota and Toyota as a whole. All the talk of reliability and quality has completely escaped me. I could have saved thousands and purchased a comparable vehicle of another brand. Now I feel like I was duped.

Crappy Media System with Drive Experience Connect
Loved the car and hated the installed media spam-ware, decided to trade it in because no one could help me turn it off, it was interrupting all my car play programs and when it happened, it was dangerous. Stupid idea to install that software, googled it and found many had the same problem. Went instead for a Honda CRV Hybrid and love it, 5 stars!
It’s ok
Needed a car and decided to go Hybrid. For a car it’s ok, just expensive. My first car was $4,000 in 1977.

Great car!
Haven't found anything I don't like, except, bought used with 14k miles. Original owner had dark tint put on all windows, incl passenger and drivers windows. It's great for heat andnsunnybdays, but it gets very dark where I live and it's too dark to see if anyone is walking across or cars without headlights. Going to have them lightened a bit.

It's the best mileage hybrid
I've put almost 20,000 miles on my 2023 RAV4 hybrid. I've never re-set the mpg indicator since new. 38.1 combined city/highway mileage. While my wife's Lexus 250h gets about 41 combined, I'm totally satisfied with the RAV4 for size and power.
