Used 2005 Toyota Prius Consumer Reviews
Prius is pretty cool
A great car if gas mileage and practicality are your primary considerations. You'll sacrifice a some luxury and performance if you are converting from a similarly priced conventional sedan like Accord or Camry.

We have been v. pleased both aesthetically and environmentally. People stop us and ask questions so that we can educate others as to the advantages of a hybrid. Save the earth and save money on gas. The sticker gas mileages are not accurate. We generally get about 40-45 mpg on the highway and in the mid-30s in the city. It does not have to be plugged in as driving and braking recharge the battery.

I only had to wait a week for this vehicle, but it was the longest week of my life! I love cruising along on the highway or at low speeds through town between stop signs with my monitor showing 99 mpg! After 500 miles, the car is averaging 50.9 mpg, not bad considering all the hilly areas I have to traverse. This car has changed how I drive, though. If you have a lead foot, don't expect to get great mileage. You may have to *gasp* start letting people pass you! I love using a POWER button to start the car, and creeping up on unwitting cyclists is hilarious! I love how the car looks, it isn't like anything else out there. I can't say enough good things about my new Prius! Get one!

Great car! It's a little sluggish on two lane passing, but other than that it has great handling. Mileage drops a lot in the winter. Better engine compartment insulation would undoubtedly help this as the engine runs a lot just to provide heat.

I have the most fun with this car. I have never owned a car that I've enjoyed more. I like to see how many mile per gallon I can get by the tank. So far the best I've gotten is 56 mpg. It's just plain fun.
