2004 Toyota Prius 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl CVT)

Review

The only flaw I've found, after six months of
driving, is that rear visibility isn't as good as I'd like.
Otherwise, this car is perfect. It's peppy and fun to
drive, it's economical, it's comfortable (even for 6'6"
me), and it's a head-turner.

Best Features

Keyless entry, which I didn't think I'd care much for, and the location of speedometer, etc.

Worst Features

Rear vision is simply restricted by the design of the hatchback. I have to pay special attention to surprisingly large blind spots when changing lanes.

2004 Toyota Prius 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl CVT)

Review

The leg room is great! The cruise works and
delivers performance, lots of hills for us. It
certainly is a screaming 4 cylinder so don't
think to push the engine like a V8.

Best Features

Bluetooth and steering wheel controls are well-thought out and very, very convenient. We use a SE T616 phone

Worst Features

1. Give the steering wheel a little more tilt down. 2. Add leather seat option, at only 5,000 miles our seats are starting to look worn. 3. Eliminate the rattles in the rear compartment.

2004 Toyota Prius 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl CVT)

Review

Waited 3 months for the Prius to get
to me and now I am having fun driving.
Comfort level is great. This is my
third hybrid. #1 Insight -small but
fun. #2 Civic Hybrid larger but not
as much fun. Now the Prius- mid
sized, good gas mileage, comfortable.
good pick-up from stop sign and this
is a fun car to drive. I have the #9
pkg. Voice activation is a
scream.Electric driving is quiet.

Worst Features

In the future , the Prius will get more miles to the gallon.

Vehicle

2004 Toyota Prius 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl CVT)

Review

Have owned a 2004 Prius with package #9
for two full weeks. Average gas milage
so far is 47mpg (consistent with
Consumers Report findings).

With the cruise control set at 72 mph
the Prius NEVER stuggled to maintain
that speed even going up steep highway
grades. When passing a couple trucks it
hit 85 mph with no sweat.

Everything functions flawlessly as the
hybrid system switches between gas and
electric. Ergonoics are good.

NAV system is ok, but on some streets it
reads the address several house number
ahead or behind.

Best Features

Gas milage - superb! Very "roomy" for a compact car Ergonomics great

Worst Features

Voice recognition feature to include climate control and stereo system. Use Voice recognition to record short calander reminder clips. Lumbar support adjustment on front seats.
