2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder 2dr Convertible (1.8L 4cyl 6M)

Review

Car is a real eye catcher, and since
mine is bright yellow, I don't think
there has been a time where people
haven't stopped or turned to check it
out! It is one great looking car, fun
to drive!!

Best Features

Convertable top, sequential shift, very nice looking interior, leather seats!

Worst Features

STORAGE, STORAGE, STORAGE!! This is the only problem with this car! You can't even go away for a weekend with it because you can't take anything with you!

Review

It can turn faster than you can think
about turning. Very predictable
handling and you get plenty of
feedback. Good milage is a plus.
Don't let the low HP fool you; it's
light enough it feels like a car with
160 HP.

I did have an engine failure that
caused it to need to be replaced, but
that was covered by the 6yr / 60K mile
warrenty.

Best Features

Fun to drive.

Worst Features

It would be nice if they offered the engine from the 190hp Celica GT-S as an option.

2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder 2dr Convertible (1.8L 4cyl 5M)

Review

It reminds me of an MG, but with
Japanese enginering (i.e., reliability
and performance). So far, I find mine
peppy and fun to drive--a nice, nice
toy.

Best Features

Acceleration and handling. Leather seats. A solid Toyota feel to everything.

Worst Features

I'm not used to the blind spots (with the top up): having to rely so much on the mirrors when backing up. Also, it is a sports car, so one definitely feels the road. Another gear (a sixth) would be nice. And, needless to say, more storage wouldn't hurt.

Review

I love my new sporty car, the
reliabilty of a toyota, the beautiful
color, the handling and safety...its
quick, cute, and turns heads. You can
put the top up or down in 3 seconds
flat at a stop light.

Best Features

all stated above

Worst Features

storage, if there is anyway to move the spare tire out of the hood area and leave that for storage, but I dont know where you'd move it too.
