2004 Toyota Matrix XR Fwd 4dr Wagon (1.8L 4cyl 5M)

If you think you want an SUV but you
know that you'll spend 99% of your time
on paved roads and you only need room
for 4 or less passengers, then you owe
it to yourself to look at a Matrix.
Seats 4 adults comfortably with plenty
of leg and headroom. Rear seats and
front passenger seat fold completely
flat for hauling cargo. Friends who
have driven my Matrix comment on 1) the
excellent driving position and 2) the
ease at which the manual transmission
shifts. Look folks, it's simple: at
$2+ per gallon of gas these days you'd
be fuelish to pass up on an opportunity
to save big $ annually at the pump, not
to mention the $ you'll save vs. the
cost of an SUV.

Best Features

Great value for your money! Upright driving position, joystick-like ease of shifting, cargo capacity, excellent crash test scores, FUEL ECONOMY.

Worst Features

Front bumper should be raised an inch or two to avoid scraping on curbs. By the way, I disagree with those who say that the engine is noisy. You can really only hear the engine upon acceleration. If you want quiet, spend another $20K on a Lexus.
