2003 Toyota Matrix XRS Fwd 4dr Wagon (1.8L 4cyl 6M)

Review

I recomend this car to all that are
looking for serious performance, with
the added comfort of storage space. 6
speed manual tranny, The engine is a
1.8L with VVTL-I. Stands for variable
valve timing and Lift with
intelligence. Basically this beast
does not redline until 8200 rpm's.
When you hit 6000 rpm's in any gear the
engines internals shift producing
a 50 horespower difference from
the base, and xr models. You get sucked
back into
your seat and everybody within earshot
will allmost break their necks trying
to figure out how that "station Wagon"
just made that sound. Allot of bang
for your buck with this vehicle. XRS
is the way to go.

Best Features

6 speed manual tranny, LIFT system in engine. paintjob.

2003 Toyota Matrix XR Fwd 4dr Wagon (1.8L 4cyl 5M)

Review

I fell in love with the Matrix the first
time I laid eyes on it! It's snazzy for
an economy vehicle and is just plain
NICE! My sales dealership, Mike
Johnson's Hickory Toyota was the
best in customer service and had the
best price around!

Best Features

Handles like a pro! The sharp look and style really catches people's eye! All of the controls are user friendly and the plush interior makes you say YES! every time you get into it!

Worst Features

Probably the engine could use a little more speed and the body needs to be tweeked a smidgen to keep you from "shifting" on the highway from passing larger trucks.

2003 Toyota Matrix XRS Fwd 4dr Wagon (1.8L 4cyl 4A)

Review

This car replaced my Volvo wagon. The
matrix has tons of room, great fuel
economy and is a breeze to park in the
city. The seats fold completely flat.
My two boxer love the fact they have
more room than they did in the back of
the volvo. The seats are are contoured
and very comfortable. They adjust
updown, back front, tilt. It is our
vehicle of choice for road trips and
our other car is luxury cadillac STS.
At the home depot last weekend I bought
an 8 ft ladder and it fit no problem in
my Matrix. So far no problems with
reliablity. The only time its been to
the garage is for an oil change and
tire rotation.

Best Features

seats fold completely flat more room than the rav 4 roomy yet can park in the smallest of spaces no problem merging onto the capital beltway

Worst Features

make an hev version like the prius ..please!

2003 Toyota Matrix XR Fwd 4dr Wagon (1.8L 4cyl 5M)

Review

Mileage has been awesome. With AC about
32 MPG around town. Without I can do
about 34-35 MPG. I drive the speed
limit period. Great car I can fit 400 +
pound of electric bass equipment in the
car. Great all around car for comuting
and the occasional short trip to the
coast.

2003 Toyota Matrix XR Fwd 4dr Wagon (1.8L 4cyl 5M)

Review

Stylish car with a lot of room for the
size. Very dependable and a nice ride
for the money.

Best Features

Fold down seats make it easy to transport my 2 mountain bikes.

Worst Features

Interior looks pretty good but a little bit cheap looking. metal paint just looks a little to fake.
