2003 Toyota Highlander AWD 4dr SUV (3.0L 6cyl 4A)

Review

This our third Toyota my partner and I
have purchased. You just can't beat
Toyota for it's reliablity. We have
had BMW's that spent more time in the
repair shop then on the road.

We test drove the Honda Pilot. What a
dissapointment compared to the
Highlander!

Best Features

It's size and the fit and finish

Worst Features

More lux options. Power passenger seating and rear air.

Review

Great vehicle for the price. It does
not ride like a truck, yet it gives you
all the benefits of having one.

Gas mileage is super and the overall
comfort make driving fun.

2003 Toyota Highlander Limited AWD 4dr SUV (3.0L 6cyl 4A)

Review

As a Lexus driver I was disappointed in
the RX330 as it has a new engine and new
transmission and absolutely no low-end
torque. Trying to merge onto the
highway is almost impossible. The
2003 Toyota Highlander had the exact
engine and transmission combination that
I enjoyed in the RX300. The interior is
even nicer than the RX300 interior and
the purchase price is about $10,000
dollars less. If you look under the
hood you couldn't tell which car was
which.

Best Features

Great performance. Handles well. Nice looking. Great sound system and beautiful interior. Self dimming rearview mirror with compass is a nice touch.

Worst Features

Style is a little too boxy. Would like the illuminated dash for day time driving. Would like better bumper protection - easily damaged/scratched in parking lots.

2003 Toyota Highlander AWD 4dr SUV (3.0L 6cyl 4A)

Review

We purchased a AWD 6cyl about 2 weeks
ago and we love it. It is a pleasure
to drive compared to our old RAV4. It
has plenty of room, silky smooth engine
and tranny. After test driving the
Highlander and 4Runner back to back, we
went with the Highlander for the better
ride. Since Honda dealers are not
dealing with the Pilot, we figured we
could with the Highlander. We got it
for below invoice after a $1000 rebate
from Toyota.

Best Features

Ride, room, drivetrain, fit and finish.

Worst Features

Handling is a bit mushy, but it's no sports car. Seperate climate controls. Better sound system.
