Very slow off the line, but happily on its way by 40-50 mph. Cannot detect power from two sources at all. Zero shift is, however noticeable.
Almost no regen-braking in "D" with foot off throttle. (Plenty of it in "B"). Lots of pitch and no sound of ABS. No difference in D or B during brake test.
Too-light steering and too-soft dampers make the Highlander feel like a fish out of water here. It feels big and slow to react, yet the stability-control threshold is set outside the tires' limits. This SUV will actually allow some slide/scrub before it intervenes. (So unlike previous Toyota/Lexus SUVs).
