Used 2009 Toyota Corolla Consumer Reviews
Too bad with the recalls
Car is very easy to drive. Love the Gas mileage I'm getting. Comfortable even for a tall person (I am 6'4"). Feels very solid. Not too worried about the recall, as with the Manual transmission a sticking accelerator would be less of a safety problem. Dealership has been great even replaced the radio after I had a small problem with it.
First Toyota
My first non American car. I just traded it in on a Ford taking a huge financial hit to get rid of it. I bought a Corolla S for Toyota's reputation of quality and its rated fuel economy. The fuel economy was great I got 32-33 mpg combined with my type of driving. Quality, not so great. Front window gasket leaked as it was installed improperly. Rear seat belt didn't latch, rear window defogger switch overheated and stuck in the on position, windshield wipers quit working. The car had a funny way of steering no matter how hard I tried it always seemed to over correct (thats the best I can do to describe it). Not to mention the recall(for which I have not received an official notification.)

toyota corolla sport great value auto
Car is very dependable, handles good but steering is numb, the sport model has comfortable seating and good smooth ride. Car is responsive and will give 36-37 mpg on hwy with Cruise set at 73-74 mph., get 28-29 mpg. City driving. No problems in the 16 months I have owned the car & driven 10k.
So far so good!
I traded in my '02 Taurus (which stink) for the '09 Corolla. So far I enjoy this car. The seat fabric on the S model is really nice. I have a dog and it is easy to vacuum. I drive mostly highway and so far with about 1000 miles I have gotten 34.5 MPG according to the car's calculation. One suggestion I have for all new owners is to immediately armorall the plastic on the interior of the car. It scratches pretty easily but the armorall takes care of that and makes it look a lot better! I love this car!
Bought brand new, no buyers remorse
It's an absolutely excellent car in its class and deserves at least an 8.5 or higher. I'm surprised at how comfortable it is during long trips and the gas mileage is excellent. Third Toyota I've owned, wouldn't own anything else.
