2003 Toyota Corolla Sedan CE 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl 4A)

Review

We just bought our 03 Corolla CE w/
automatic. We bought it without a test
drive. Even though we could have gotten
a comparable Civic for $500 less, this
is our car. It drives great, performs
well, and has 12 features that my last
new car (a 1990 Civic didn't have).
After test driving the Focus, which was
very spare, noisy and drove like it
already had 100k on the odometer, this
car is tops.

Best Features

Digital outside temperature thermometer. Air ducts that channel air to the backseat. Dual airbags. Automatic light-sensing headlights.

Worst Features

Could use a very slight/minor tweaking on the steering wheel, which has 2 small protuberances at the 10 and 2 positions designed to encourage holding the wheel in that position. Many people might not even notice these, but I do; the thicker area annoys me a little bit.

2003 Toyota Corolla Sedan CE 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl 5M)

Review

This car has been great to own so far.
It has plenty of room and is very
comfortable. I am averaging about 37
mpg and am waiting to see how it does
on an extended trip. It seems like a
scaled down camry and i have no
complaints so far. I expect to feel
the same at 120K miles...!

Best Features

Insturment panel. Trunk space. Power going up hills.

Worst Features

Better quality material on interior, but not if it adds cost significantly. I can live with the current quality for the price.

2003 Toyota Corolla Sedan S 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl 4A)

Review

I LOVE MY CAR IT HAS BEEN IN 2
ACCIDENTS AND I HAVE NO DAMAGE. I WAS
REAR ENDED TWICE AND I HAVE A MINOR
NECK INJURY FROM THE FIRST WRECK, BUT
MY CAR HAS NO DAMAGE. IT WAS INSPECTED
AND THEY ADVISED NO DAMAGE. NOT EVEN A
SCRATCH...

Best Features

I LOVE THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND THE FUEL ECOMONY.

Worst Features

I ALSO OWN A 2003 CHEV IMPALA. THAT STEREO SYSTEM FROM THE FACTORY BLOWS AWAY THE COROLLAS STREREO SYSTEM. I RECOMMEND AN UPGRADE TO THE STEREO.

2003 Toyota Corolla Sedan S 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl 5M)

Review

Just bought my Corolla last week. Rides
like a charm- very comfortable and
plush; makes me feel like I'm driving a
Lexus(actually the same platform as the
Lexus IS300, only with a 4 cylinder
engine). Toyota has done a great job
with their restyling of this car.
Performance, feel and design are head
and shoulders above the similar Nissan
Sentra and Mazda Protege. Reasonably
priced and reliable as it gets, you
cannot go wrong with the Corolla.

Best Features

Interior comfort; exterior looks; Outstanding fuel economy; Handling; Smooth ride; Reasonable price

Worst Features

Slight lean on sharp turns; clutch pedal is a little awkward and tough to push all the way down

2003 Toyota Corolla Sedan CE 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl 4A)

Review

Bought a 03 Corolla for my wife in
January. Love that car so much, I
bought one for me in March. Build
quality is excellent, it's quiet,
smooth, refined. The engine is peppy,
I'm getting 28MPG in the city and it's
not even broken in yet. Not enough can
be said about it's exterior styling...I
turn heads everywhere I go, people are
shocked to learn it's a base model
Toyota. The steering is precise, the
brakes are excellent, and there is a
ton of trunk space. I'm not that tall,
but there's plenty of leg room, both
front and back. The dash and controls
are well laid out, very logical.
Overall I am SUPER happy with these
cars!

Best Features

Just about everything mechanical, and really love the styling. Toyota's reputation is a definate plus!

Worst Features

Ask someone who knows what music is SUPPOSED to sound like BEFORE you toss a stereo in and call it "deluxe".
