Great Value

This car has been an incredibly reliable, low maintenance vehicle that has performed as well as I expect a Toyota to perform. Other than the routine maintenance, only had one problem (throttle control valve) that was replaced by the dealership. This is a great car for those whose ego's don't need to be soothed by driving the biggest, fastest, etc. vehicle out there.

Best Car I Ever Had!

My 1998 Corolla lasted for 20 years - and it would have lasted longer had I put a new transmission in it. It has about 200,000 miles on it when I traded it in in 2018 for a 2015 Corolla. My 1998 Corolla never broke down and I have to say that I was not the most diligent at getting the oil changed regularly. It broke my heart to trade it in because it had been with me for so long! Hope my new one lasts as long and holds up as well. So far, it has and I've had it for 5 years. You just can't go wrong with the Toyota Corolla.

423,000 miles

My 1998 Toyota Corolla, which we bought new, has 423,000 miles on it and it’s going strong. Never have we had major repairs on anything. AC runs great too. The only thing we have contributed to making this a very reliable car is keeping up with the scheduled maintenance. We also change the oil every 3,000 miles. I run premium gas in it. We love this car. It even has manual windows and it does not have all the new and improved (so-called) electronics. This is why it’s a great car besides it just now getting broke in at 423,00 miles. Original everything except the battery and windshield wipers.

Superb Reliability

This is the most reliable automobile I have ever owned. We have two 1998 Corollas one is an LE and the other a CE. Both were purchased used at 30,000. Both now have over 100,000. This is truly an economy car needing normal maintenance and only one repair ever: the throttle position sensor on both cars one time.
