Literally One of My Favorite Cars

1992 Toyota Corolla Deluxe 4dr Wagon

I have owned my 92 Wagon for many years now, and it just will not die. I've put very little in to repairs, anything that has been work done to this car is custom work that I wanted to do, not HAD to do. I've replaced the valve cover gasket once, that is it, nothing else. When I got it, I used it as cheap transportation, and it is now a project car. I will NEVER get rid of this car, it is fantastic to drive, just keeps going, and going, and going without issues. It is too bad Toyota doesn't build cars like this anymore, I wish they did. I even love the styling of the car, square bodied Toyotas have always been one of my favorites. I've owned many cars in my life, none have ever stuck out to me like this one, seems crazy, but it's true, there is just something about it other than how reliable it is.

My 1990 Corolla LE is better than a boyfriend.

NEVER has she left me stranded. The mechanics of my gorgeous 1990 Corolla are the opposite of the 1990 Mercedes 420 SEL handed down to us within our family in 2007. In the center lane of I-285 it shut down; motor went off. It was late at night and I drifted over to the side of the road. Over the years this Mercedes had major repairs making astronomical hits on my wallet. As for my Corolla, now in Nov 2022, she has 50k miles. Yup that's correct 50,000 miles and looks almost like the day I brought this "baby" home from the "hospital", eh, I mean dealer. ☺ Both at home and work she was in a garage. The low mileage is largely due to living almost within walking distance to work. After 32 years she continues to be a pleasure to drive. I treat her well and in return she does the same. "Sylvie" needs a new motor in the sky roof. No longer does Toyota make that part. If I wanted I would call around and probably find one. It's just not important. Thinning grey hair blowing in the wind is not a good vibe. 😄
