1992 Toyota Celica GT 2dr Coupe

Purchased new; Have kept up on all
maintenance and only 2 problems in 11
years: approx 1995 AC recall (covered
by Toyota) and the mechanism in trunk
which allows it to remain in the open
position broke (@ 110,000mi) The result
was $1,100 in repair costs because it
caused the hinge to break and it bent
the frame of the trunk itself.
Otherwise, GREAT CAR! I commute over
50 mi/day and am completely confident
in this vehichle.

Best Features

Sporty style; reliability; driveability - extremely stable (although nothing like an AWD); gas mileage remains 28-30 mi/gal

Worst Features

Increased hp; Only a 3 star safety rating; If I had a chance to do it all over again, I would purchase the All- Trac, but one wouldn't be disappointed in settling for this one. Really can't use cigarette lighter (for radar detector) at the same time one uses the cup holder.
